It was a rainy Sunday afternoon, a day best spent inside with a book and a warm bowl of soup, but Ben was currently scanning the shelves of a decrepit library, trying to find text for his up and coming English report. Why did teachers even want print sources anyways? Everything was being digitized nowadays anyway... 

Ben was so caught up, frowning heavily at the passing shelves, that he didn't even realize someone was in the same aisle as him until he bumped into her. "Oh, shit, I'm sorry!"

He cast a glance at the downpour lashing the shop windows. With London caught in a deluge, his thoughts turned to the prospect of more enquiries by letter than in person in the following days. Surprise flickered in his lilac eyes as the door swung ajar and he kept the open magazine out of sight.
