so i was sorting through pictures of pip and putting them all in one place so i have easy reference for when im drawing her in future and remembered my other pip comic Unbubbled originally had more plot to it but it got off track and i ended up scrapping it and leaving it as it exists on tumblr. but how could i NOT share this adorable interaction?? i need to draw these two being goofy more often its always about the angst

i know pearl poking ppl in the eye with her nose has been done so many times but its never not funny to me and ofc pip would clap back on that

SPOILERS FOR CHANGE YOUR MIND:

So now that the corrupted gems have been healed, and Pip is a formerly corrupted gem, I felt like it was time for another Pip comic! This time, it’s kind of at the end of their story; the war is over, the waiting is over, and they’re finally reunited!!

(I still feel guilty about A Love Theory being incomplete. I’ll do my best to get the last few pages out soon, its so close to being done as it is... for now, enjoy Unbubbled!)

i’ve been in a bad mental place lately so i haven’t been drawing as much besides uni work. but i watched lilo and stitch today and the soundtrack lifted my spirits and made me want to draw beachy stuff. so here’s pip and pearl having some down time on the beach while pip’s still adjusting to having a humanoid form again.

maybe i will never be all the things that i wanna be...

pip has very conflicted feelings about... her corruption. she’s grateful for a second chance at life, but she hates that she can never truly be healed. she hates that she can’t fuse with pearl. that in the 5000 years she’s been corrupted and bubbled and gone, pearl has matured into this bigger person while she’s stayed the same, broken and struggling to feel like she’s good enough.
