Once Piper dropped her back off at her apartment, Rory’s initial thought was to curl up in her bed and take a nap. But she knew she had other things to do, starting with taking the medications she missed out on last night and this morning, followed by taking a much needed shower. Her hair was a mess thanks to having slept with it down; and she really hated the feeling of sleeping in the same clothing she’d worn the previous day. Sleeping in jeans was never comfortable.; and honestly, it made the petite brunette not want to wear another pair of jeans for the remainder of the week, hence why she opted to change into a sundress once she finished showering. Not bothering to let her hair fully dry, she tossed it up in a messy bun before starting to neaten up her apartment. If Piper was going to be stopping by later some time that afternoon, she wanted the place to look presentable... Especially after texting with Ember made her realizing she might be starting to develop feelings towards the redhead.
It was still so strange; and honestly, part of her had a hard time comprehending the matter. Did she really have a crush on Piper? Or at least the start of a crush? She’d never had a crush before. This was all so foreign. So with her anxiety now starting to kick in (and her heart starting to race a bit yet again... great), she finished neatening up her apartment to the best of her abilities. And once the place was clean, she made her way to the cabinet next to the TV stand, pulling out several of her favorite Disney DVDs and placing them on the coffee table. It was just after noon when she received a text from her friend confirming that she was on her way if it was still okay she came by for a Disney marathon. Responding with an ‘Of course! See you soon!’, the Brit decided to just try to relax a bit and compose herself before her company arrived, opting to take the time to finally make herself something for lunch.
Not fifteen minutes after Piper texted, Rory’s phone buzzed, alerting her to the fact someone had rung the doorbell. Making her way from the kitchen, she went to answer the door, her smile widening as she saw her friend standing in the doorway. “Hey.” She greeted, stepping aside to let the other enter the apartment. “I, uh, just wanted to say thanks again for letting me crash on your couch last night. You’re a real lifesaver.”
