Wrote some platonic Ratliff sibling Valentine's fluff for my dear friend and RP partner @pipesax . Please enjoy.

Summary:

Saxon comes home from college to help Piper bake Valentine's cookies for someone in her class, and ends up learning something about his sister that takes him by surprise.

“So, who are these cookies for exactly?” Saxon grins at Piper, nudging her in the side with his elbow, his brows waggling as he grabs a measuring cup and starts scooping up flour with it.

He watches his little sister press her lips into a fine line, her lashes blinking rapidly as she rocks on the balls of her feet.

“Stefanie.” She gives a nonchalant shrug, her eyes darting down to her feet.

Saxon blinks dumbly, his brows knitting together as he pours the flour into the big red mixing bowl one by one, surprise sliding down the length of his shoulders.

“Stefanie?” He asks, both brows raising high above his eyes. “You're making Valentine's cookies for a girl?” Saxon asks, surprise and confusion swirling together in his brain.

Hey everyone 👋. Just dropping in to inform you, me and @pipesax wrote a Piper/Saxon fic together finally. This was heavily inspired by the scene in S1Ep5 of Mr. Robot when Tyrell walks in on Sharon on the toilet. Been obsessed with that scene for years, so this really scratched an itch. Enjoy.

Summary:

Piper wants to blame the stress that comes with the Ratliff Christmas season for the strange tension growing between herself and her big brother, but deep down, she knows there's something more—and, to her dismay and delight, it just might be mutual.

That is true about vipers, fanfic series I wrote on the White Lotus series, specifically focusing on the Ratliff family.

I like to write the Ratliff incest. I also like to show how morbid their dynamics are. In Vipers, or Rather a Blue Monday, I portray the Ratliffs as a perpetuum mobile, a perfect closed circle:

As Tim loses everything and the Ratliffs are stranded in Thailand, Victoria loses interest in him and switches to Saxon, who seems to her a purer, stronger version of Tim—just untrained, so she trains him.

Lochlan is all by himself again; he's of no interest to Victoria, who is not a passive trophy wife: she's an active architect of her own fate and a professional tamer of haughty wealthy men.

So Lochlan immediately attaches to Piper, who just wants to be left alone and process in silence. But no: she's forced to become a prophet of her family—their own, personal Buddha-Jesus.

As Piper reluctantly plays the Prophet role for her brother, also compensating for her mother's lack of interest in Lochlan, she no less reluctantly admits she likes the power.

The power brings Piper back to her mother, who made her marriage the most intricate, complex, and financially compelling project of her life.

This realization drives Piper back toward her father: she performs Victoria's magic on him just to see if she can manage him as she manages Lochlan.

The story is, of course, also about Piper's profound loss of innocence—not in the physical sense: virginity is a weak plot device. Piper loses innocence by seeing her family for what it truly is: a viper's nest.

She steps toward the snakes, lowers herself, and engages with them, allowing the snakes to eat her whole until nothing that remains is the skeleton of a little green tree snake.

I reckon the fic green tree snake had a complex reception exactly because of this: when I first show Piper engaging with her father on her mother's advice, it is strange. There are themes of sacrificial blood, and then Piper is immediately granted an active role in the act, coaxing desire out of Tim in an unconventional manner.

Penetration here is a metaphor for Victoria being the actor on Tim: shaping his focus, his plans, and his values through subtle and not-so-subtle sexual control. Now Piper takes the magic wand of desire from her mother to discipline her father, beginning her training as the new Ratliff matriarch.

The sex between Piper and Tim is deliberately written to be shocking, off-putting even: it's basically my commentary on a patrician decay of a certain class of Northern American and, perhaps, European society.
