When and how Zarina didn't know, but at one point in that night, consciousness slipped from her-- and the fairy fell into a deep sleep.
Perhaps it was the soft sound of music that helped her, guided her to this strange dream--
--It didn't take her long to recognize where she was, The glimmering specks of magic that floated around her and filled the trees was undoubtedly the work of her kind. Pixie Hollow, the pirate had somehow ended up in the home of the Neverland fairies.
But how? Zarina was sure she was in her bunk a second ago.
And how did she wind up in her fairy form? Bewildered and agitated, she looked down to see her shrunken body hover off the ground. The pirate whirled her head around to see a set of shimmering wings attached to her back, holding her up as they fluttered with speed.
What in the world was going on? Zarina squeezed her eyes shut, concentrating on returning herself to human form, but she was unsuccessful. She flew in place for a few moments, trying hard and finally giving up on ditching her wings.
Then out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a figure standing in the distance, embedded in the shadowy night. The fairy could only make out the person's silhouette, but it was enough. She knew the man standing there well.
"Hook!" Zarina cried, beginning to fly her way over to the captain. Maybe he knew what was happening, maybe he could explain what was going on.
Then all of the sudden the silhouette changed, shifted into a smaller version of itself. And the shadows cleared just enough to reveal the face of who truly was accompanying her in the darkness.
And it all became clear to her in an instant.
The fairy flew a couple of feet back, a glare formed on her features as she spoke "What do you want, Pan?"
