She’s not happy, no, no, no...but losing her cool isn’t something Hanten does, and she’s curious, she has to admit. This city is new. It’s different. She wonders about the who’s and the what’s; she bets the Devil and God of this place got overturned by the humans here. It’s a little sad, a little impressive, equal parts entertaining.
And so.
Hanten reclines against a wall with a lazy smile, red on the tips of her claws (they break through the fabric of her gloves), using a bone to pick at her teeth. Her tail cracks like a whip to get the attention of a younger girl, human, passing by. She looks at her with her perpetually relaxed expression and said:
“Going somewhere? All on your own? Cutting it a bit close to Sector Three, methinks.” She turns a blood-stained wallet over in her other hand. “You know...you kind of remind me of someone.”

Sheena leaned her head against a shop's window, staring with ill-hidden frustration at something made of chocolate that was not healthy for her in any way but she would take an assassination contract to have. She'd been living off whatever food had been stocked in that apartment given to her but 'pleasure' food had been out of her reach and her wallet.
"I despise you," she mumbled against the glass, directed toward the dessert. How'd she even end up in this particular district, anyway? All these shops were beyond her price range. ...She needed to find a job. Sheena sighed, her breath fogging up the window's glass.
In her frustrated and glowering silence, she probably wasn't aware of the fact she looked a little strange to anybody passing by with her forehead against the glass and cursing an inanimate dessert. .
The thing about this so-called masquerade, he thinks, is that even though one is only inches away from collapsing from nervousness, it could be concealed by the mask. The amount of people is overwhelming and it's needless to say anything about the loud voices -- basically, nothing helps the fact Hibiya is incredibly distraught. He tries to force the sensation down his own throat nonetheless, because there is no point in running away now (after all, he isn't insane enough to dare to disappoint Hiyori).
Be a man, be a freaking man. These words run across the young boy's mind, who tries to force his way through the crowd without causing any major embarassing moments. She is standing at a point not so far away, probably wondering why he's late. The most beautiful, radiant girl in the place, no matter what she wears or what mask she uses. It's incredible how she can catch his attention so easily.
Thinking about his Christmas gifts (yeah, the invitation counts as one) gives him the necessary strength to move forward and swallow all of his fears. Hibiya tries to muster a confident expression, which ends up looking even more pathetic in his current state, and with a rather shaky voice he forces out, "Hiyori-chan! S-sorry, I'm late!"
(She accepted his invitation. No, that's not right -- she invited him. So why is he so nervous?)
"Would you l-like to dance?!"
