A recipe for the English language
you stir it for a few centuries until the Anglo-Frisian separates from the continental bit
you pour that into a sieve until the continental bit comes out
add 7.8/10 too much water and the frisian part is melted away that's Old English
then, you take an entire box of Old French
and throw it, box and all, at the bowl
pour the contents into a blender
forgetting how to read for about 400 years is a crucial step
douse the slurry in Latin and blend it a second time
then just for good measure, smash it a few times with a cartoonishly-large mallet, just for good measure
stick it in the oven at ung_dly temperatures for a couple centuries
grab your best machete and slice the entire oven in half
and throw a bunch of smaller knives at the right half to split it up further
pick up the pieces at put it all into another oven
wait until the entire thing explodes
and extinguish the raging nuclear fire with tea and beer
the result? the English language minus all of the like, everything else that's the toppings. add a few pinches of random languages at your discretion
