so i was explaining to my brother how two of my characters are connected to each-other not only biologically (like i they’re twice removed cousins, right) but also how their respective significant others are also connected to each-other through a series of mutual acquaintances and with all the seriousness in the world he told me “you gotta stop. please. just stop linking them. let them breathe” and i never felt so understood and betrayed at the same time
listening to my brother laughing out loud with his online friends when i know he had a rough day makes me feel warm inside
