I feel really sick about Relc hooking up with

Ryoka. I figured she was bi but it felt so out of nowhere. someone in the comments said she'd said he wasn't ugly before?? that's the whole set up? like I love monster fucking but why is every MC hamfisted into these awkward relationships? like, it feels like Aba is ignoring setting up relationships to force in interspecies couples. nevermind the whole "ryoka forgot he was her dad's age even though she was with embria the night before and morning after".

mostly I feel sick because I know Ryoka was bi but there was actual setup for her and Fierre. like, proper long form build up with reasons and teasing and everything. and I really, really fucking wanted Ryoka to be actually queer. there's so much setup for that too. but we just get two or three not-very-important degenerates that we're told are gay, whether they're evil or shameful embarrassments to their entire species. great. and I wouldn't mind that if some actual good characters balanced it out. quite literally in the same chapter she meets Ieka, a disgusting lecherous pervert who drools over Ryoka. you can't make this shit up.

I genuinely feel physically sick about this. like my stomach hurts and I might cry. I put so much time into this stupid fucking novel. if chapter 7.28 was the most recent one, I'd have stopped and not picked this back up again for a long time. maybe ever. I'll keep going but my patience is waning and my love is being severely tested.

I'm angry, and very disappointed.

The Wandering Inn

It's been out since 2016, I know. I started 10 years later, yes. Do I regret it? Nah, not really. I'm glad I started a little late, that means, there's SO MUCH content that I can consume and devour in MONTHS. Finished book 1 just this January, planning on making this a monthly thing! Until I reach book 17 or 18!
