Here is a video from one of our remaining featured guests !!! October will be her first time in Michigan and surrounding areas and she CANNOT WAIT to meet all of her fans !!!! The Monroe Comic-Con proudly welcomes the lovely and talented PISAY PAO from the hit show Z Nation !!! Pisay is known for playing “Cassandra” in Syfy’s hit zombie TV series, “Z Nation.” When she first got notice to audition for the show, Pisay almost turned down the opportunity because she actually has a real life fear of the undead. Luckily, her agent didn’t give her much of a choice and she went on to land the role. Prior to shooting season 1 the writers had originally planned on killing Cassandra off, but after seeing Pisay’s work the creator of the show extended her character’s storyline. Both Pisay & Cassandra return to “Z Nation” for season 2. Pisay started performing at a young age. Her parents fled their native country of Cambodia in the late 1970’s and Pisay was born in a refugee camp in Thailand before her family eventually moved to the US and settled in Seattle, Washington. Pisay’s father encouraged traditional singing, dancing, & theatrical performances regularly in their household as a way of making sure his children remembered their background & culture. Since Pisay grew up in the 80’s however, Sci-fi fantasies, Action Heroes, and the power of great hair also left a lasting impression on her. Pisay began her professional acting career by appearing in local & national TV commercials. She’s had the privilege to work next to Elizabeth Rohm (Law & Order, American Hustle) and Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints, Dexter) as well as Christopher McDonald (Requiem for a Dream, Happy Gilmore) who personally requested her to play his wife in the movie “Grassroots.” She also recently appeared as a guest star on NCIS: Los Angeles. Pisay’s favorite movies include, Blade Runner, The Princess Bride, & Dirty Dancing. Her favorite super hero is Storm from the X-Men Saturday morning cartoon. She loves traveling and meeting new people as well as cooking for family and friends. Welcome Pisay !!!! #ZNation #Cassandra #PisayPao
