10/26/24 Forest areas that have been closed since Hurricane Helene are starting to reopen, and just in time for the fall foliage. Here's to all the hard work that went into reopening these treasured lands. Above is a picture of the stone bridge at Moore Cove Falls in Pisgah National Forest, NC. Below is Looking Glass Falls.

*This bridge was one of four built in 1935 by the State Highway Commission along with the US Forest Service in an effort to increase automobile tourism and recreation in Western North Carolina. All four are located on a short stretch of Highway 276 in the Pisgah National Forest.
