They say a picture is worth a thousand words... well, that's about the size of my Luis Gil rant and this video and the commentators comments says it all quite well... so... 'nuff said...
LET'S GO, YANKEES!!!!!
I wish Aaron Boone would stop playing players who aren't ready and aren't doing well, and give them the time to work out their problems to get where they belong. Luis Gil needs time to develop more consistency and regain his confidence before he starts for the Yankees. Given that time, he'd be a great starting pitcher, but NOOOOOOO. Boone just keeps playing him and letting him fail, time and time again. He's destroying a young pitcher who just needs some more time to find his groove by playing him when he's, apparently, not ready, yet. He does this all the time, and he destroys players by doing so. They get frustrated and get bad habits, and they lose their confidence. It's not fair to them. It's not fair to the team. It's not fair to anyone. Boone and his infinite idiocy and legendary bad decision making ability has done enough damage to my boys. Look what he did to DJ Lemahieu and Luke Weaver. DJ shouldn't have been playing, until he was back to being himself, the batting title champ, DJ Lemahieu. By the end of his career with the Yankees, the fans were booing him, and he couldn't even hit or catch a ball. He was a great hitter and a great baseman before he got injured. He needed more time before he was played, every day, again. And Luke Weaver should've been our closer last year, but Boone replaced him with Devin Williams, who couldn't close at all and gave away sooooooo many games. He put Weaver in when the situation was untenable, and he destroyed Luke's confidence and ability by keeping Devin in the game, even though he was horrible as a closer and didn't deserve that position. Luke Weaver got us to the World Series the year before, and he earned that closing spot, without a doubt. It hurt me to see him treated so disrespectfully, and it hurt me even more to see the frustration and pain in his eyes. My boys deserve so much better than Aaron Boone. I'd be a better manager. Boone has never won a World Series. Not as a player or a manager because he doesn't know how to win. We need a good manager for a change. Watching my team be mismanaged, year after year, hurts me, deeply. It makes me miss Joe Torre sooooooo much, but I digress, as is my nature 😁🤣⚾️❤️🙏🏼 I guess my Luis Gil rant is more of an Aaron Boone rant and rightly so. It's Boone who is destroying Luis. The kid was rookie of the year so I know he has the ability to be a spectacular pitcher, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't get the time he needs to get back to being able to pitch like he did that year. If anything, that should make it imperative that he's given the time he needs to work out his problems and become the pitcher that he was in his rookie year... buy a clue, Boone... I'll pay for it, just get one, please 🙏🏼
