her theory is correct. walking into the bar, it's been a long time since she's stepped inside. it's been a longer time since anyone has asked her out for drinks in a place like this after work. it's late in the afternoon. she's been to lunch with monty's family as she's done every year on the anniversary of his passing. and every year, she's mentioned it to robby in passing, inviting him along. and every year he hasn't come.
sidling across the bar, gloria's not waiting for an invitation to sit beside the senior attending. in fact, she's not even looking his way as she orders two drinks. when they arrive, she's nudging one towards him.
@pittbled sent stop looking at me like that. ( gloria <3 )
when he speaks, it draws a singular laugh to her lips. "and just how was i looking at you, michael?" her voice is dry, but softer than usual. it's been a long time since she's used his first name. it's been a long time since they've truly seen eye to eye. "the family send on their regards. they hope you're doing well..." her voice fades at the end of her sentence. "i hope i wasn't lying to them when i said you were."
