“Bittersweet Grace”
I haven’t posted on here yet.
But today felt like the right kind of quiet to begin.
My shift got canceled.
I should’ve panicked — rent, bills, everything in between — but instead I exhaled.
My body wasn’t ready. My mind was exhausted. And honestly, the pain was already screaming before I even put my shoes on.
Phantom smells. Dizziness. The pressure in my head.
I laid down to push through anyway — and woke up to a text that said “shift canceled.”
I didn’t know whether to cry from fear or relief.
But what I do know? Maybe this was grace in disguise.
I’m trying.
A single mom. A woman healing. A soul that’s fighting to rise without the world seeing me fall.
I’ve neglected myself. I’m learning how to pour back into me.
If you’re reading this — you’re not alone. This is my first post. But it won’t be my last.
I’m here. Healing. Reflecting. — I Am Re’nee
