Bleurgh. Ironically, the prompt I need to work on today is Festival (Caring When Sick). I'm full of cold, sore throat, sneezes, sniffles, self-pity, gone back to bed, the works. So, I'm going to grab the ice-cream, brew some tea and write.

I don’t cope with illness well and the last three days have been rough. I have stomach flu and at first couldn’t keep water down, and then didn’t manage to keep food in my body for almost 70 hours. Cold sweats, cramping, light headedness, excruciating headaches . . . I’ve been pretty miserable and just wanting to be back home in England with my family and snuggling with my fur babies. Scrubbing vomit off the floor was a real low point for me, and I wanted to sob in frustration and tiredness.

I think I’d feel better if I could cry but it’s just not happening. Perhaps I still need to rehydrate after going so long without fluids. 

I just really want the comforts of home and the ones I love.

This strike sucks like, I was actually excited to go to school and to graduate and get a job and everything. Now all of that is pretty much ruined and I most likely won’t be graduating in April.
