1. Origins of your blog’s name: I like pixel art. I like flowers. Pixel Blooms. It's a thing.

2. Your ‘I’ll always order this food’: My family goes out of their way to guess what I will order at a restaurant. The choices generally are: mushroom risotto, carbonara, or battered whiting.

3. Overused emoji: 😅 --I'm generally an anxious person.

4. Current comfort movie, show, and book:

Movie: Australia's Pirates of Penzance with Jon English

Book: The Martian by Andy Weir

5. Song on repeat: I have an entire playlist of songs I have on repeat atm.

6. Latest obsession: Outer Worlds 2!

7. Oddly specific thing that brings you joy: My baby Hugo (baby = 4 year old Great Dane/Bull Arab cross dog)

8. What smell makes you happy: I have a collection of these fine scented candles...

9. Something you loved as a kid and secretly still do: Lego. Though it's not a secret.

10. Phone wallpaper right now: Season 2 OPLA Sanji and Zoro

11. Are you an early bird or a night owl: Night owl. I hate mornings.

12. If you work, what is your profession and do you like it: I begin teaching secondary students English late January. I've enjoyed placements. I'm looking forward to having full time work and an income where I can move out!

Toska / Ship to Wreck by @fishysaltine

Cassius' story is very compelling alongside Astarion, but I also really like the magic vs magic antithesis of Gale/Anyir. I can't choose between these two stories, so good thing they're part of a series! They could be read separately (Toska is Astarion/Tav, Ship is Gale/Tav), but why would you deprive yourself of warlock Tav having a very bad adventure?

Astarion escapes Cazador, ends up in Waterdeep. Runs into Gale's mum. Meets an isolating Gale (cus, you know, explody orb in chest go brrrrr). Magic rings to solve many problems. Freely given, freely taken.

Ah, Arc Tremors. My love. My light in the darkness. My ultimate sick!fic that ever sicked, the best injury recovery to ever recover. This is peak 2012 Avengers -- I'm talking the years of Hawkeye in ventilation shafts, Dum-E and U love, and ultimate caretaker JARVIS. Y'know, the golden age.

*slaps roof* this baby may be over a decade old (JESUS CHRIST), but she holds 44 chapters of pure character. Giant squid, Hulk swimming, pizza, Hawkeye depression, Avenger blanket fort, self-repairs, Bruce as "not that kind of doctor but actually I can kinda help", the fucking raspberry guy-

Arc Tremors is probably responsible for my love of medical fanfics, and it really set the bar. I don't think you understand just how powerful angst, whump, and injury recovery can be. There is not a month that goes by where I don't think about this fic, or remember a moment from it. I know this fic like the back of my hand. Fucking Steve Rogers able to get up from a couch using just his thigh muscles sticks in my brain and I just can't just FUCKING READ ARC TREMORS.

sigh, here's my ultimate favourites. I'm happy to make a full list if you want though.

Vox Machina: The series Feathers and Smoke by FeyNWiddershins. Hands-down best romp in canonical Percy/Vex. Also Percy becomes a toad and is put into Vex's bodice at one point. 10/10, highly recommend.

Mighty Nein: Draw between the mist upon the hill by Bucket of Water and We Circle By Night by InsanitySilver. Both are Caleb-centric. Both have angst. Mist is soulmate-based, Circle is a time-travel fix-it fic. Both have Molly trying to work out wtf is up with Caleb. Don't make me choose a favourite between these two, I love them both.

Bells Hells: remedy and relaxation from ivelostmyspectacles. If only we all had someone like Orym.

As an Aussie, I deeply understand the hardship and terror a lot of the people facing the massive fires in the US are going through. In fact, it wasn't so long ago that we were in the exact same situation.
