Techigate LLC, ArtistifyStudio, Pakistani scammers, and the massive web of fake accounts made to convince you to pay for "art".
Those scammers leaving comments on your fic saying they'll make art for it if you contact them? Yeah, they're Pakistani, based in Sindh, and they host at least two websites they use to try and trick you.
Enjoy this deep dive about it.
I reached out to a comment scammer so you don't have to. (Part 3)
Part 1 | Part 2 |
So what do we know?
Stellawilliam46 commented on Time Warp.
While Stellawilliam46 does not have any AO3 works, they did previously have a very similar DeviantArt profile under the name Stellawilliams146. This account is now deactivated, but they previously uploaded work stolen from nadavace.
The selira_vale01 Instagram has two images, both have comments from other users informing us that this user is a scammer. This handle has also been used across FFN, and has previously been flagged as being a scammer on the forums over there.
I contacted angeladraws10 on Discord. They then sent me to artistifystation.com, which hosts their "portfolio". I forwarded this to the appropriate Reddit subreddit, and while it did not get much attention, a fellow redditor agrees that by some slim chance it's not AI, it's exuberantly overpriced for the quality.
Angela shared four pieces with me. Two of them came back with exact matches through Google Lens--the profiles marialouise125 and eloisenova0259 both previously uploaded one of the images Angela shared with me, and both have deactivated DeviantArt accounts. Another image they shared was also uploaded by two other deactivated DeviantArt accounts, christinewilson1 and christine-wilson77.
They then shared their website with me, artistifystation.com. Here, the art they shared appears to have been "created" by juliasimon77. Following this username across the internet found me landing at RoyalRoad (juliasimon), DeviantArt (juliasimon57), Scribble Hub (juliasimon77), Web Novel (Juliasimon) and Wattpad (Luciaquinn234). Side note, looking up the Luciaquinn handles also led me down a rabbit hole that ended up at OnlyFans, so there's a chance there's a scam being run there, too. If that's the case, then I'm glad there's some kind of scamming gender equality.
I then stumbled on X, where they appear to be silentsage_77. Now, I don't have an Xwitter account because I think it's an awful platform, but according to Google, they have posted art there too, all which appear to have been taken from other sources.
The other username listed on the website is Ousam8182. At this point, I'm running out of steam to go hunting for usernames associated with this account, but here's what Google AI had to say:
All the while, the other DeviantArt account where I found The Image is called angeladraws29.
Are you exhausted? I'm exhausted. That's about 16 different accounts, all with ties back to Angela. Now, I've been known to change my account name, but 16 times in a year? Yeesh. Trying to remember all those emails and passwords must be a nightmare.
This morning I had the itch to toy with Angela some more, just to see what else I might be able to pull out from them.
Pixel: Alright, I've thought on it. Please give me your payment details Angela: Do you have Paypal? Pixel: Wouldn't you prefer Osko? Angela: No sorry i don't have Osko Angela: Do you've l,Cashapp,Zelle or Venmo ? Angela: And if you don't have any one of them so you can also pay me through an invoice method Angela: In which you can pay through your bank credit card Pixel: I would prefer card. Can you tell me your account details? Angela: Can i share the invoice? Pixel: Will it include your account details?? Angela: Yes, it’s included. Just share your email with me and I’ll create an invoice for you, so you can easily make the payment through it. Pixel: No thank you, Please just upload it here. 🙂 Angela: Dear, I receive payments from many of my clients through invoices. Those who don’t have PayPal can easily pay via invoice it’s totally safe. I just need your email address so I can send the invoice to you. It’s an official method of payment.
So for those of you who don't know how invoices work, you don't need much other than your own account, your own ABN, and an addressee for an invoice. There is really no need for Angela to ask for my email address, it's perfectly cromulent to print a PDF of a PayPal invoice unless you're technologically illiterate.
I should also mention, it's taking a while at this point for Angela to continue messaging me. I'm waiting ages between messages now.
So I relent. I forward the false identity email I have thanks to my Surfshark.
Angela: Thanks for sharing Angela: I will send you invoice letter Angela: It's take's time to create an invoice
They then edited:
So I guess, now I wait!

I reached out to a comment scammer so you don't have to. (Part 2)
Part 1 | Part 3
The description angeladraws27 puts on this particular image is strange, especially since they told me it was a book cover someone commissioned them to do. While I am not a commission artist, normally I would expect them to be fairly thrilled that a work was commissioned, that they'd say who it was for, or what it was for--or that you, too, can have them commission a piece.
Instead, Angela says this:
Seven figures, seven legacies standing side by side beneath a shared horizon. This illustration explores contrast and harmony strength expressed through posture, color, and quiet confidence rather than motion. Each heroine holds her ground, distinct yet connected, framed in a moment of collective stillness before action begins.Created as a fanart study of character presence and visual rhythm, focusing on balance, expression and a clean animated aesthetic.
The art writer in me is critiquing when I really shouldn't be giving it the time of day. Why are three of them crossing their arms? Why is Harley Quinn up front? I'm not a huge DC fan, I can't identify three of these women. Why is there so much empty space up top--what's it's purpose? Why is the woman on the far right dealing with a camel toe? Wouldn't Supergirl be better served in her iconic hands-on-hips pose? Wonder Woman with her forearms crossed at the ready? Where's the whip?
I have so many questions. The only answer is "AI did it."
Angela's other work listed on their DeviantArt page have been straight up stolen.
Outnumbered, your highness has been stolen from @chohwcomic. Closet Case Catastophe is a panel from Mash Comic (and I've been unable to find this artist's details, but I've sent a message to Hiveworks and hopefully they'll get back to me?). And the most ridiculous one of all, Silver Whiskers, is the avatar of Fiverr creator Kavennah--who has been on Fiverr longer than Silver Whiskers has been up on DeviantArt. The Instagram listed on their Penana (where, you guessed it, they do the same thing), angelaaa_rosee7, uses a panel stolen from gzhelguardian (another Hiveworks piece, which I discovered only after I messaged them).
It appears this individual shed the Julia identity we discussed in part 1 and moved onto Angela in November of 2025.
Back to the chat. (I go out of my way to quote their dogshit description of The Image.)
Pixel: Created as a fanart study of character presence and visual rhythm, focusing on balance, expression and a clean animated aesthetic. Pixel: I'm confused. This doesn't appear to be a book cover Angela: Dear this is a book cover and this one is also uploaded on my website Angela: Now kindly tell me are you interested in amending your story into comic ? Pixel: I'd love to tell you, but you haven't told me if you're okay with doing a single mock up panel Angela: Dear i can't do it for free i've done this many times and i got scammed Angela: if you've some kinda issues so we'll start with an upfront of few dollars and rest when your 1st page is done
Angela got scammed! Yeesh. What a world!
Angela: In that way we both can built trust between us Pixel: How much would you like Angela: Let's start with an upfront of few dollars like $20-25 Pixel: I would really rather you only do a single panel Angela: Firstly tell me how many pages do you want ? Pixel: Just to start with Pixel: And Numb Little Bug is not very long at all Angela: I told you the price of 1 panel Angela: so tell me how many pages do you want ?
Here's where I fucked up a little. I'm a writer--I have very little scope on the freelance artist business. In my mind, a very basic stick-figure mock-up of a panel with no detail whatsoever, just a thought of a plan, was not worth $20-$25. Please be aware, however, that yes--this is in fact standard pricing!
Commissioned artists are generally going to charge you $20 for a comic panel. This is not unusual. What's unusual is the lack of discussion. In my mind, the artist would probably be the one to determine how many pages a fic adaptation would need--I expect them to be the expert in the room. So asking me is a bit silly, right? How am I, the writing monkey, meant to know how pictures on paper include details much?
The average reader may assume I just had a stroke, but I really do feel quite inadequate when it comes to adapting pen to image.
So I say how many pages I want (because I'm a stingy bastard and would never torture an artist with my work to begin with).
Pixel: Two Angela: Dear two ??? your story has alot of words and it would take mim 5-6 pages Pixel: Right, but I'm just looking for a draft Angela: I'll draw a panel not a draft in just $20 Angela: And if you like it so we'll work further Angela: How does it sounds ? Pixel: I'm asking for a draft because the styles on your website seem to vary a lot Pixel: Also, out of curiosity, has any other fic author taken you up on this offer? Angela: Yeah dear i worked with hundreds of authors becasue i'm doing this for 4-5 years
Every profile Angela has appears to have been opened in 2025. EXCEPT for their Discord handle, which appears to have been opened in 2019.
Pixel: Can I chat with the last one just as a reference? Angela: No dear Pixel: ?? Angela: Because it's very difficult to get a client Pixel: So you haven't worked with other fic authors before? Pixel: Then why did you lie to me just now? Angela: I worked with alot of clients Angela: But i can't share my clients with anyone Pixel: You understand how suspicious that sounds, yes? Angela: Yess it is but i can't Angela: i've tried my best to built trust and even i told you about upfront to built a trust Angela: If i still seems suspecious so i can't do anything
That's where I went to bed. The day of catastrophic fire danger had to come crawling at some point.

I reached out to a comment scammer so you don't have to (Part 1)
A new comment has been left on your work!
Oh man! That doesn't happen a lot--I wonder what they had to say!
Incredible work! The atmosphere here is so thick and the emotions feel so raw. I could actually picture the pauses and every small expression perfectlyy. Do scenes playy visually in your head when you write, or is it more about emotion for you? I’d love to discuss some creative ideas for these scenes please check my bio for my work. Discord: angeladraws10 | Instagram: selira_vale01 If you are interested so check my bio for further discussion!
If you're a fic writer (and let's be honest, if you're reading this post, you probably are) you've likely received one of these comments. This was left on Time Warp, a fic I haven't completed, but according to my AO3 data, appears to be the most popular of my works. It doesn't tend to get a lot of comments, but I get emails every few weeks about kudos. So, when scam artists make their way into my comments section, I inevitably get excited! Only to suffer the crash of "oh, nevermind."
Well, unfortunately for this scammer, I have oodles of time for the next couple of weeks. So, against the advice of everyone on the internet,
I reached out to a comic artist scammer that commented on a fic so you don't have to.
Here's what happened.
Sometimes it's worth looking down and realising "damn, I do have a great rack."

My Archive of Our Own Wrap-up
I wanted to put together a thank you to all the fanfic writers who have gotten me through this year.
This wrap-up is me going through my history month by month to see which fics I’d visited the most (because you can be damn sure I read through them over several days, again and again).
So this is a celebration of the wide variety of fics I’ve read and/or bookmarked and/or subscribed to. Thank you to every writer on this list for keeping me entertained.
To every fanfic writer I've had the pleasure of reading the words of, and there are so many more of you than just this list of people, I want to thank you so very much of trusting your creativity to us readers. You are my rock, my joy, my comfort, and so many other supporting adjectives that I just want to give you all hugs and money for the holidays.
I got my first teaching job.
I start next year. <3
I am in my late 20s and only just learnt that spontaneous human combustion (as in people just exploding) is actually a myth. like i clearly learnt about it when i was like 8 or something and filed it away and only NOW that it came up in conversation did i start questioning it---cause that sounds like bullshit, and it is bullshit---but funny how young you will file information away and if you never access it, it'll just sit there, untouched
If you think that's bonkers, here's where my brain went upon reading your post:
Thinking on it now, spontaneous human combustion really is not possible simply from a definition standpoint now that I think about it. Ignoring the impossibility of the spontaneity, combustion is effectively ignition from heat, not just "thing explode". My first thought went to comparison to implosions (such as one that may have impacted the Titanic's latest victims) but yeah, even then.
Now, you may have picked up my mistake, but I had to go back and double check the meaning of combustion. Upon which I realised that this entire time, I'd mistaken "combustion" for "explosion".
...
I am also in my late twenties, and I have a writing degree, and a masters of teaching.
