I've just finished coding the foundations of the game engine's lighting system. It's a 2d pixel shader which supports normal mapping and basic shadows.
The overall effect will look quite great when I actually draw some normal maps for the tiles ^^' As of now, normal maps are just a solid color to indicate horizontal (ground) and vertical (walls) surfaces. Tiles are temporary assets, just for testing.
Also, I need to buy a Fraps license ASAP.
