Live coding at WAVE NEEDS TIME TO WAVE I participated in a group performance at kunstnernes hus in Oslo. Where everyone improvised.
I coded visuals live, trying to make it work with the music that I heard.
You can see the resulting visuals in real time here: https://www.shadertoy.com/view/4lKGWy
We are all individuals
Trendsimulator where the goal is to stay unique. Based on the theories of Pierre Bourdieu on the dynamics of power in society.
Game made for 24 hour Deichman Game Jam. The theme for this game jam was "Absence".
After a lot of brainstorming I wanted to make a game about the absence of Individuality/Identity/Personality. The easiest way to implement this as a game that I could think of was to make a trend simulator, where the player is on top of the hierarchy and has to always be unique. While people down the hierarchy will copy the player's appearance. The game becomes harder the more unique the population has become as a consequence of your choices.
The Printer
Is it possible to convey emotions through video games?
I made an attempt where I try to antagonize the player by simulating the excruciating process of using a printer.
Bomb Your House - Color Update
I’ve updated the game to now support colors! This makes the experience a lot more interesting. I’ve also added a lot more objects which can be drawn on.
Pop-up shop
Me and my colleagues arranged a pop-up shop in gallery Wizard at Grünerløkka Lufthavn in Oslo. We sold zines, silk screen prints and stickers!
This unconventional gallery is in the stairways of a huge building where a lot of artists have studios. Among them, illustrator and musician Espen Friberg who let us use the gallery.
A lot of people came, and it was such a great night!
24 hour comic challenge at Oslo Comic Expo
Me and my colleagues Erlend Peder Kvam and Kristian Santos Utrimark attended the 24 hour comic book challenge at Oslo Comic Expo this summer.
The challenge is that you have to create 24 comic book pages within 24 hours.
It went well and I was finished within 20 hours. This is the first time I attend this event and find it interesting because it is quite similar to how Game Jams are organized.
