It was terrible. They destroyed one of my favorite books completely. (Although I hear they're making a TV series that might be better.)

lmaoooooooooooooo
I made it about 30 minutes in (and that’s counting commercials so probably 20 minutes of the film itself) before my husband came over and I turned it off.
I really liked the books. I actually just finished reading the last one not that long ago. They seem to have totally butchered, including plot lines (they know Valentine is alive?), left stuff out, and ruined characters. A lot of those characters don’t even look right, much less act true to character. It just irks me to no end.
Luckily, I just set my DVR to record it when it came on one of those channels rather than seeing it in theaters or renting it. So at least I didn’t waste money?
I did see/read that one of the networks is adapting it for TV but I think it’s ABC Family and they have a horrible track record for picking up shows and canceling them pretty fast so I don’t have high hopes for it either.
I swear, if I ever publish a novel and someone wants to buy movie rights for it, they’re going to have to agree to me being an executive producer and maintaining some kind of creative control. I would rather skip the extra money than watch my creations be so carelessly adapted.
