Two things have happened today.

The birthday curse struck early this year and I now have a broken toe.

I hit 1k. Which is mad. I feel like I don't post enough for that to be valid, so it's kind of humbling and ego-boosting at the same time? Idk. I'm having feelings. Maybe it's just the toe talking.

Everything currently written is in stethoscopes & submission masterlist. It's not over, I got burnt out and overwhelmed and took a break for a while.

I have a question for other writers (and I preemptively apologise because I suspect this is going to sound growly): does anyone else get demotivated by asks like these?

Maybe I'm just going through a bad brain time, but I find it kind of disheartening that people will send asks like this but not comment on or engage with the fic they're asking about.

If you want to read more of something, it would be really nice of you to leave interact with the fic itself. If you tell me what you liked about it, it makes my brain go pink and sparkly and makes me want to write.

I'm not upset so much as deflated. I know I've gone on rants before about demanding engagement and I do stand by that, but wistfully... Comments and reblogs with words are so nice.

That said, I should stop bitching about it, because I am grateful that people read or comment on my work at all, and I'm really lucky that I have some amazing regular commenters some of whom are wonderful writers in their own right (looking at you, @beppybeesnuggets, @a-jazzy-bitch, @incognitoinstigator @mrsha-ang-kim, @sheerficrec, @chrizzztopherbang, @leislibrary, @breakmeoff, @n-kiie, @hyunniesprincess)

I'm sorry if I missed anyone and I feel like kind of a dick making this list because it reinforces how lucky I am to have so many excellent people in my tumblrsphere.
