Rambles
Eveytime I listen to "you're a big girl now" I have some kind of mental break down cause like ya I'm really not😭
Like what happened to eating ice cream on the floor in my grannies sitting room after have mash and chicken for dinner, with my grandad having the news on cause he was in for the evening so he got TV control
What happened to Nutella sandwiches Disney channel after school at my nanas waiting for my cousins and brother to be done.
What happened to playing superhero games with my brother and cousins.
What happened to my nani giving us sweets befire greatest and candy necklaces after dinner.
What happened to eating porridge with my nani, "racing" her to see who would finish first
What happened to running straight to the sittingroom in the mornings at my nanas to watch TV
What happened to playing mercy with my brother and nana always yelling at us
What happened to having massage comipitons and playing snap and go fish and fighting over the remote and making a sechuele for it at my nanas.
What happened to being the one to mind my younger cousins and being the one they asked for
What happened to never shutting up
What happened to doing dad's makeup and pretending to be asleep on the couch with him
What happened to shoving all the toys to one side in the playroom when asked to tidy it
What happened to hugging my mam evey morning, ir crawling into bed on weekends to wake them up
What happened to playing stupid fantasy games I didn't have a clue abt just so I could play with my brother
What happened to walking around with my best friends discuss how we'd survive random disastrous
What happened to having designated games for each break
What happened to swinging on poles and trees and messing with the tires before camogie traning
What happened to catching fish after swimming lessons
What happened to the sand pits and lazy days when we'd wear pj's all day and princess pj's and my curls and obsessing over teddies and kicking each other under the table when we were meant to be doing homework and the dogs following us on every walk and always being miles ahead and jumping up and having arguments abt reading and spellings and the lectures abt working shitty jobs
What happened to my family just being adults I trusted and loved and everything was so simple and easy
Like where tf did my childhood go?? Let me be daddy's girl again pls
