Pizza Squirrels in my neighborhood. I live one house down from a Pizza Hut. 🍕🐿

When I lived on Rutgers & Monroe in ROC, we had pizza squirrels. There was a Pizza Hut next door & the squirrels would often break into the dumpster & be seen around the neighborhood carrying big pizza slices in their lil mouths 🍕🐿️ It was a magical land!

I almost had great internet clout by capturing the image of pizza rats second coming as pizza squirrel, but the damn squirrel was too fast and I only got a blurry image of squirrel butt.

So I went to throw some stuff in the dumpster at work only to spot something weird moving around. Out of the depths of the dumpster emerges a big black squirrel eating a full slice of pizza. It spotted me and started to scramble away while carrying the pizza slice. I took a few photos as it took off with the pizza but none captured both the squirrel and the pizza slice.

As the weather is warmer now for much of the world, many people turn their thoughts to pizza. Do not offer pizza to squirrels, and don’t let your cats try to tempt squirrels with pizza, either!
