Enjoy the flavors of California Pizza Kitchen at home with this Copycat BBQ Chicken Bacon Pizza. It's a perfect combination of smoky BBQ sauce, tender chicken, crispy bacon, and melted cheese.
Ingredients: 1 pizza dough store-bought or homemade. 1/2 cup BBQ sauce. 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded. 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled. 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped. 1/4 cup cornmeal for dusting. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Set your oven to 475F 245C before you start cooking. If you bought pizza dough from the store, let it come to room temperature the way it says on the package. Make sure to roll out your homemade dough into a 12-inch circle. To keep things from sticking, sprinkle cornmeal on a pizza stone or baking sheet. When the surface is ready, put the rolled-out dough on it. Spread a thin layer of BBQ sauce over the pizza dough, making sure to leave a little space around the edges. Spread the shredded chicken and bacon pieces out evenly on top of the BBQ sauce. The mozzarella cheese shreds should be spread on top of the pizza. Put the red onion slices on top of the cheese. Add pepper and salt to taste. Place the pizza in an oven that has already been heated up. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and a little browned. Take the pizza out of the oven and give it a minute to cool down. Add the chopped fresh cilantro to the hot pizza. Cut up your Copycat CPK BBQ Chicken Bacon Pizza and serve it!
