it’s him. he would recognize the ugly tie and wire-rim glasses anywhere.

talk about a coincidence. Jed could’ve sworn he was just chasing Dwight in The Entity’s realm, but from what he’s heard, this place has all sorts of fucky time nonsense he’s not smart enough to understand. which, to be fair, isn’t much different from The Entity’s realm. only he can’t let his bloodlust run wild here. jesus, what a downgrade.

even still, the fact he and Dwight are both here is... interesting. maybe it was fate. a higher power. certainly something higher than The Entity.

so he’ll avoid the killing, at least for now. because for as much as the whole situation fascinates Jed, he can’t risk offing Dwight. both for the sake of learning more, and potentially getting his weapons back. besides, Dwight has always interested Jed. for as spineless as he is, even Jed knows he’s capable of so much more. how far could he push him?

better yet, how far could Jed Olsen push him? finding Dwight without his mask on hand... he’ll take that as a blessing.

he steps behind Dwight as he’s paying for his coffee. trendy cafes with expensive (albeit mediocre) drinks were never Jed’s scene, but goddammit fate is calling.

“hey, lemme pay for your coffee. what’d you get?”

By now Seiichirou already knew that nothing new about Spirale that wasn’t already known could be found from any of the libraries on the island. He could research as long as he wanted but find nothing but description of past events of the island. The university library shouldn’t be any different but he thought he’d take a look anyway. Maybe he could borrow some mathbooks on the side. 

“ Oh, did you want this? “

“ I’m not in hurry to read it or anything so feel free to take it. “

It seemed they’d went for the same book. Seiichirou had reached it words but really he could go for any book and it wouldn’t change a thing.

Since hunting animals here was essentially forbidden, Anna now had to debase herself to the menial task that was grocery shopping.  Unfortunately, she was completely illiterate and couldn’t read a single thing on any of the packaging.  For the most part it was easy to pick things based on the colorful pictures on the front, but over 3/4ths of the food in the store were things she’d never seen in her life.

She was puzzling over a bag with strange little flat, yellow ovals on them.  There were about a hundred bags of them taking up significant shelf space; some of them were crinkly looking, and others were slightly different colors -- those bags also had other images on them, like wedges of cheese, and what seemed to be onions.  Strange.  Even the villages back home didn’t have such bizarre food; this must be some strange, futuristic, calorie packing substance.

Anna dropped it inside her grocery basket which was already mostly full of various cuts of meat.  She marched around the corner and found herself accosted by yet another aisle full of peculiar food.  This time she held a small box that had a picture of a bowl full of some puffy white things.  What on earth...  Her ears tuned in to a familiar set of footsteps; someone she knew was cautiously rounding the same corner she had just moments ago.

Good, a familiar face.

“Locker boy,” Anna marched up to him without preamble, “what is this food?”

More & More! Headcanon: Accepting!

💞: What was their first love like?

((I could have sworn I’ve answered this, but it must have been on Twitter.))

Waka’s first love was very much a childhood crush that transformed into something more, but it was unrequited due to said friend being straight and already in love with their mutual friend (who also returned his love). Waka had seen that relationship develop, yet he ended up confessing once both were entering into adulthood, only to be turned down.

However, both of them remained close and Waka eventually became his right hand man before their civilization fell around them.

Little did he know that he would get a second chance at love during his days on the Celestial Plain, but that’s another story.))
