i kinda want a percy jackson tattoo. like i've got the mark of Athena but i also want like an explicit pjo tattoo. bc the mark is only inspired by it's also to do with my personal relationship with Athena so... but no clue what i'd get

Woah, got a little out of order there... Frank Zhang with tattoos is part 4 in my Percy Jackson Tattoo series. Explanation below! Ok before I start can I just say… Damn🔥 Also, spoilers for TOA ahead! I gave Frank his Chinese name, an archery tattoo, and his SPQR tattoo (and I added Jason’s eagle symbol to that one in memory of him). My dear pal @kat_mendell had the brilliant idea to make Frank’s golden lifeline band wood to represent the piece of firewood that his life was tied to, and I surrounded that with witch hazel to symbolize Hazel protecting him. He has his mom‘s name on his collarbone, Hazel’s last name on his ribs (which is cute because she has his last name as well), and the Chinese word for grandmother down on his left arm. He has the Canadian Maple leaf, Mars’ spear, XII for the 12th Legion, and the Roman praetor symbol on his hand. I put bear prints on his chest and was really excited to give him this big animal sleeve to symbolize his ability to transform into different animals. Finally, the Latin quote on his right arm means “though the stars incline us they do not bind us”, which I felt was a fitting quote about fate. I think it came out great, hope you guys like it!

Hazel Levesque with Tattoos: Part 3 in my Percy Jackson Tattoo Series! Explanation below... but beware TOA SPOILERS!! Okay, how cute is she?? I’m obsessed. I gave her a lot of gemstones, as well as the symbol for Pluto and the names of the 7 heroes with Jason whited out. She has “zhang” for Frank, Arion, and mist traveling up her arms. She has her SPQR tattoo, her golden lifeline thread (knotted because she was brought back to life), and tall grass for the fields of Asphodel, where she spent 70 years of her afterlife after sacrificing herself. She also has witch hazel on her thigh, as well as Latin which reads “in the absence of light, darkness prevails”. This reminded me of the way Hazel is the daughter of Pluto, but is also such a light. Finally, the black Angel wings on her hand are for Nico :) I’m so proud of her and I hope you guys like her too!

Part 2 of my Percy Jackson Tattoo Series: Annabeth Chase!  Annabeth’s sleeve is an owl holding a Trident, the coin from the Mark of Athena, The New York City skyline, her family’s names, her underwater kiss with Percy, and Thalia’s pine tree with her and Luke’s names under its roots. She also has a helmet, which to me represents her being a warrior, with seaweed brain above it. The “AO” symbol is my interpretation of her being the architect of Olympus, and the night sky on her forearm is meant to represent when she and Percy were forced to replace Atlas and hold up the sky. She has “Hubris” in Greek on her forearm, and an illustration from Paradise Lost on her thigh of Lucifer falling from heaven, a classic example of hubris. This is meant to remind her of her fatal flaw. On her other thigh she has her lifeline thread, she has a small wave on her thumb, and she has a P on her shoulder for Percy.

Short slytherins with tattoos that have nerdy elements, next is my tattoo with PJO included in it. Virtus with a trident through the middle for my left forearm. I'm super excited. After PJO slytherin crest and ending with a tattoo with star wars incorporated. It's gonna be fun.
