"if percy is casted white there will be backlash" you guys are so stupid i swear, like im not even going to pretend but you guys are saying this shit on purpose and coming up with fake mess because people kept saying that if percy is casted by a child of color there will be an issue. this whole attitude of "🥺 no matter how he's casted, don't be mean" is so fucking ridiculous. straight up, a white percy won't be an issue!!!! he's been white in previous castings, official art, fanart etc. and everyone's okay with it!!!! but that is NOT to be said about percy of color fanart!!! there is consistently people who fight so hard about "he's half greek" "he needs green eyes" "i don't see him like that :/" "he can't be x tho..." etc. as if any of that matters. this attitude of "ppl who headcanon percy of color are gonna rip this kid apart if he's white" is so gross because we all know that will never happen, but the same can not be said for a percy of color

such exciting news to get the casting for both annabeth and grover. grover was cast black in the movie and unfortunately they changed his character to be a poor stereotype. even years later, he's still depicted as white in fanart and people fail to find frustration in this change! here's to hoping and much love to the future iterations of these characters in which they will be faithful to their novel counterparts but the actors can add so many new dimensions and nuance to their characters 💗💗💗💗 also cannot wait to embrace the new world of fanworks that are lovingly created from this adaption, and the new fans that come into this universe 💗💗💗

Are there any black actresses you've seen that you think would suit Annabeth?

I don't pay much attention to actors the way I do for production value lololol, but my friends in the black server are saying Leah Sava Jeffries and Mia Fowler.

Jeffries follows Scobell (Percy), Riordan, and Monte Green (possible Grover).

While, Fowler follows Scobell and Green as well.

It's possible that they were all near each other during chemistry reads and then are networking, but otherwise those are the thoughts from the council 👍 I am absolutely sure there's more actors as well

ANYWAY if hoo gets adapted, we can't have caleo unless they recast calypso because the calypso in botl would be too old by hoh. but you know what we COULD have? valgrace. WHICH goes hand in hand with wlw piper regardless if toa occurs or not because a gay piper could be seen in hoo without the third series. so really, i think we all win here

i think the singular fuck should go to annabeth in a moment of frustration but hazel says 60% of the other curses and she always gets interrupted before each fuck as a running gag
