Does anyone else use the Original Members setting?

I do, because if like I'm playing then glance at the background and I see fucking Akito with Kohane's voice, I'm gonna lose it. I was watching someone do a song and I realized they didn't have the setting on. Can I please not be the only one that does this?!!

I think what’s disappointing about Dear My Fellows is that the changes are very, very minor after Rui’s starting chapter (they’re tinny things that can go unnoticed, like Tsukasa’s lack of confidence being very minimal and only showing in like 2 lines of dialogue), and that it’s more of a “this could happen in the future” than an alternative reality thing.

I also think having WxS follow VBS’ WL 2 raised expectations too, since that thing gave even me, a non-VBS fan, emotional damage. We pictured something similar would happen with them and got something… not too far from reality instead. Which is sad, yeah… it wasn’t a bad event, I still cried like a baby, but I wish it was more unique.

Is it also weird for you guys when someone talks sexually about a character? I saw a post recently showing screenshots of someone saying to Tsukasa’s leaked birthday card that he’s their “leg opener” like. What. Can we not 💔

I don’t know I always find it something extremely strange to share specially with strangers. It was a conversation with a friend it seems, that’s fine if they’re okay with it, but idk man don’t… talk about my comfort little guy like that please, I don’t even know who you are and didn’t ask for this information

sigh(this is a mix of a rant and a small thing on why teenage pjsk western fans are actually not obsessed with angst). Heavy ranty-ness ahead

Alright do *some* of you REALLY wanna know why some pjsk fans are not that interested in the characters achieving their dreams and being ambitious? You wanna know why "oOoOoh the younger generation hates any show of ambition and hard work by characters because they're so lazy and hate seeing other people succeed and just want angst"? Wanna know why n25 is the most popular unit?

Its because they're fucking done. From a young age, esp western fans have had it DRILLED into their heads that ambition solves everything, we have to always work hard or else we're all useless and stupid and worthless to others. And what happens when that fails huh? Just work harder? You didn't try hard enough? If you're depressed or too tired to try again then just get over it and do it now. If you haven't figured out what you wanna be once u hit the teens then you're gonna be homeless and a failure.

So OBVIOUSLY THOSE FANS ARE GONNA BE DONE WITH THOSE MESSAGES AND LIKE THE UNIT THAT HASNT FIGURED OUT WHO THEY ARE YET. THEY DONT MERELY WANT ANGST.

And btw pjsk fans not focusing on characters storylines that involve them achieving something, and focusing on the angstier characters(or angstier parts of them) instead, doesn't mean they're all angst obsessed angsty teens who are lazy, spoiled and hate their parents. Yeah I know that's the image that comes up in your heads.

This just shows that not everyone knows what they want yet and feel the pressure to figure it out already. Which is why n25 has so many fans - they don't already know what they're gonna do as adults, but they're slowly figuring it out. Yes, while there's angst along the way, it's ultimately a story of hope and there's always a happy ending.

And btw if western pjsk fans are mostly teens obsessed with angst then why is wxs also such a popular unit in the west huh? Why do they always obsess with how silly and goofy and funny the chars in wxs are if they're angst obsessed teens? Make it make sense. Yeah wxs has angst but it's not as apparent and it's mostly a goofy happy unit(well it's gonna disband tho and the members of wxs know it but anyways)

Back to the "ohhhh the younger generation has no interest in ambition!!!" thing.

First of all if u say something along the lines of that, then you're sounding like a boomer. Yeah, you sound old as fuck. Not in a good way.

Second, not everyone has to have the same tastes as you. What are you, the most specialest person in the world and everyone has to follow YOUR tastes? Geez man it's giving mafumom but more outwardly aggressive. And if someone doesn't have the same taste as you in what characters they focus on, it doesn't say anything about their own personality(unless there's bigotry ofc....)

thirdly, ppl in the west are super used to ambitious stories of success so naturally they'll fixate on something that hasn't been done before such as stories that delve into mental health or chars who struggle with abandonment and mental health issues

Finally, you might be blowing it out of proportion. People merely mentioning an angstier character in relation to an ambitious character is NOT TAKING AWAY THEIR SPOTLIGHT GEEZ. It's just people talking.

Real talk. Does anyone else remember that weird “Tsukasa angst” phase of pjsk fandom in like 2023? Asides from obvious mischaracterisation (though it was annoying and rampant). It especially rubbed me the wrong way due to the hyperfocus on the few male character (the male humans make up 1/5 of the human cast).

Often times the traits of the female characters would be taken and transplanted on to Tsukasa. For example people did this with character traits from characters like An,Shizuku, Haruka, Kanade, Ena and Emu but ESPECIALLY with Mafuyu. Tsukasa is a complex character with his own issues, however something always rubbed me the wrong way about this attitude.

Like why rewrite almost the entirety of the female cast but as one guy?? It came across like people didn’t care about the girls because they were girls. They were ready to ignore the women struggling with genuine issues so they could project it onto their blonde blorbo boy (who’s canonical mental health is actually decently stable).

I can’t say it was explicit misogny but I do believe that some of these people were influenced by misogynistic biases. In these stories (read fan work) the girls if included were there: 1) because of their relationship to a man or 2) to be in a relationship. This isn’t a Tsukasa only phenomenon however I saw it the most with him.

Perhaps this was a Pinterest only phenomenon but I’m glad that the fandom has grown up a bit since this hell. I’m so glad especially because it not only a disservice to all of the female cast, but also to the male characters.

Am I the only one that like…likes the valentines event..?

The cards look good and why are people complaining about it being the white day trio?? I’ve seen people say stuff like “why is it white day trio?! We see to much of them!” Or something like that but like…no?? This is the only other time they’ve gotten a set??? Wouldn’t you guys be cheering if it was another trio like emu, Honami and Ena or Minori, Kohane and shiho?

The only complaint I personally agree with (and makes sense to me) is it being all guys and then Mizuki. They could’ve sprinkled the guys in each year, had kaito/len replace Mizuki (but I doubt people would like that too…) or have there be more girls like idk…Shiho or Ena replace Toya or Rui? That way it’d feel less weird because it doesn’t genuinely feel weird for there to only be one girl in a set imo, event if we aren’t watering Mizuki down to their gender

I have honestly gotten a bit pissed off by this fandom or specifically the TikTok side. It’s barely been A DAY and I’ve already seen someone hate on the Toya 6 cards 🫩 I feel like there’s always at least half of the fandom that immediately hates on the cards or anything that comes it…it’s bed like that since at least the enstars collab and it pisses me off tbh…like yes, I know people can have opinions and this probably ticks me off so much because it’s my hyperfixation and comfort but…it’s like, do you even like this game?? No one is forcing you to stay in this fandom or play the game you know that right??

Idk man, it just pisses me off and I need to let my feelings out…people like this that basically hate on anything kinda ruins the fandom for me…
