Everything in Minah’s life was the same. Every day she woke up knowing what to do and how to act. Not showing any emotions. Simply a smile on her face and listening to what other people say. Nothing was out of place and to the outside everything seemed perfect. No scandals or problems. Everything seemed to go smoothly. Minah knew this lifestyle since she was a little girl so she never knew any other method to really show her emotions. Hiding her emotions. That’s what she got taught.
Today was one of her rare free day’s. That made it easier for her to wake up. She didn’t need to be near her boss. Not worrying about him touching her inappropiate and her having to hide it. Instead a garden party was going to happen today. Her family was invited and Minah as the only daughter had to go with her parents.
Stepping out of the bathroom Minah made her way to her closet opening the door to decide on a nice dress for this party. Scanning through the closet full of clothes she picked out a nice dress in a coral color. Taking it with her back to the bathroom she changed into the dress. Finishing the last touches on her make-up Minah left her room and walked to her parent's. Together they made there way to the party. Stepping out of the car naturally a smile appeared on Minah’s lip’s. But it wasn’t a smile out of happiness but a smile that she always wore when out of the house.
A few hour’s later and the party was full with people she had seen once or twice thanks to her dad. Minah set her empty glas down on one of the many tables for one of the waiter’s to take and searched for her parent’s. They should be talking to other guest’s. Minah greeted guest’s while making her way through the crowd of people. Her steps became more careful as she was in the area of the over flowing pool.
Then everything happened to fast for her to realise. Someone pushed his ellbow into her side and she started fall. Suddenly she was underwater and the other guest’s eyes became all wide staring at her in the pool. The pool was deep. Deeper when she had expected and her heels and her long dress made it hard for her to swim. What should she do now. She had no idea.
