So about Eeveelution Squad
A comic I used to read when I was about 10-12 lol.
I was reading up about it in reddit, and I saw a post relating to the “Kris x Trace” ship, as well as spezuli, spilvia and fleafy, which I’m going over later.
So I want to make some takes for them! Starting with Kris x Trace.
The person I saw on reddit asked “Why do people ship Crystal x Silvia? At least give Trace a chance!”.. My response to this is why though? What is there to invest in for Trace and Kris?
The answer is pretty much nothing.
Trace is introduced as Speed’s best friend and an inventor (previously a rescuer, had to retire due to his dad’s worries or something). I only remember one time where Kris and Trace met, and it was when Speed was taking her, Flare and maybe Sunshine out to get food in the town? In which Trace made one flirty line towards her, and Speed shut it down.
So, why not give Trace a chance? Because they have no chemistry. No interactions. No point in being a ship. If anything, I can see Kris being on the ace-aro spectrum: craving romance but not feeling romantic attraction.
And about Kris x Silvia, since it was brought up: I don’t care about it, nor do I see it as a proper ship tbh. Each to their own, I suppose, but this ship has always felt like a way to justify Spezuli being without Silvia, or to remove Silvia as a love interest for speed.
Small topic over because it’s late at night where I live rn, and I have to be up at like 6:00AM tomorrow so good night/day wherever you are!
I’m definity going to talk about my opinions regarding Spezuli, Spezulia (?) (the one with lazuli x speed x silvia, idk the name) and my overall opinions of the ES characters sometime, since they’re… Interesting.
I did like a few of them, at least: Brian (duh), Frank and Pearl (specifically after she got given a personality beyond stalking Black).
