it's a long long time until it's discovered whether it'll work with the game or not, but tentatively I'd love for the Z-A protag to be Geranium...

SMART: i can give darkrai a fate AND tie my pmd canon to my pla canon in one fell swoop: darkrai is the darkrai that shows up in hisui. it fell out of a distortion.
some of the thought behind akira is that they're basically like if a pmd protag was still human. and he also still has his memories. so im wondering if i need to put him in a tenma-like relationship with his parent so that there's a good reason for him to never go home LOL...
sora & tina are cross-regional penpals! on their journeys, they often traded pokémon either to keep (tina gave sora their porygon!) or to help with evolution (they traded back and forth to evolve tina's machamp and alakazam!)
even a long time afterwards, they still keep in touch and are still good friends!
i guess. technically leafgreen should have been slotted into the blue timeline. but i just didn't do that...
and yellow timeline
platinum (2014) → occurs concurrently with soulsilver (sora) → ultra moon (2018) → emerald (2020) → occurs concurrently with leafgreen
and also colosseum + xd and legends arceus are also in here somewhere
ok i feel like explaining it more here's all the explainations for how i sort the colors :P
games that are "red":
red
gold (warm color)
ruby
firered
pearl (it's pink)
heartgold
white (because white two would go on to be associated with orange)
white 2 (orange)
Y
omega ruby
sun (orange is close to red)
ultra sun kinda (see "yellow" section)
lgp (yellow is kinda warmer than brown)
shield
dlc just stays attached to its base game
shining pearl
scarlet
games that are "blue":
blue
silver (cool color)
sapphire
leafgreen
diamond
soulsilver
black (because of how black 2 would be associated with blue)
black 2 (neon blue)
X
alpha sapphire
moon (purple is close to blue)
ultra moon (kinda, see "yellow" section)
lge (brown is kinda a little cooler than yellow)
sword
dlc stays attached to base game
brilliant diamond
violet
games that are "yellow":
yellow
crystal
emerald
platinum
usum kinda goes here because they're kinda third versions. i mostly just put ultra moon here because it creates complicated story overlap with moon
legends arceus i guess
and that's how i do it. but obviously this is all just me so it's not like these are true set in stone pokémon facts
the thing with timelines
•i dont remember why i started using this system. but it's pretty cool, isn't it?
•as the names imply they're basically split by color. blue is the pokémon games that are or are close to blue (and coincidentally has basically always been the first version i pick), red is red ones and yellow is third versions. and third versions are usually green i guess BUT the first game in that timeline was platinum which is yellow. so.
•because those are the version i usually pick the blue timeline has the most & is basically the "main" timeline with the most overarching arcs and stuff. it also has a unique year set-up (like moon takes place in 2027 because reasons)
•on the flip side because there's less games + more time between them the years in the red timeline and yellow timeline actually tend to align with the real world years i played those games
and that's all the timeline explanation facts i can think of right now. well they're pretty cherished.
