A lot of the people in this fandom can't even stick to their own arbitrary logic/rules.

Cl*ve is heavily misunderstood, depending on who you ask. Either he is not taken seriously, or he is glossed over completely. I'm not saying that his crimes are excusable; it's about why he acted the way he did. He came from a place of hurt and grief. He wanted to enact vengeance on those who wronged him. He is an example of someone who does not accept loss, letting unchecked emotion take over reason. Cl*ve believed that brute force would get rid of those who wronged him. He had the money, the resources, and everything he needed to bring out his plan. But he was truly alone. He believed that enacting his revenge would bring solace to those he loved, and possibly to himself, easing his inner turmoil. Instead, it did the opposite. Near the end, Cl*ve admitted his defeat, and knew he failed his mission. He wanted to die. In a way, his mobile fortress was his ticking time bomb (quite literally), and grave. The one thing that saved him from death was Layt*n, just like how Layt*n saved Cl*ve from going into the burning building to rescue his parents all those years ago.
