Anyways more Ingo and sky kid because I can and I will
Cue distant screaming from Rei and Emmet as the younger twin try to kill God™ after sending his brother two seconds after they reunited for like, five minutes
(yes Ingo have pieces of his memories here already and he have already seen Emmet. For five minutes.)
ok but consider this (pokémon legends arceus spoilers ahead)
Cynthia has a grandmother that lives in Celestic Town, right. And it just so happens that Celestic Town is approproximately in the same location as the Ancient Retreat, aka Cogita's place. Now it's obvious that Cogita in PLA knows too much and maybe is like immortal, or at least by far outlived normal humans. She's the one Volo (and the player) got most of his (their) knowledge from after all.
So what I'm suggesting is basically that what if Cynthia's grandmother isn't her biological grandmother but Cogita, who ended up founding a small village eventually and one day came across a very young, orphaned Cynthia who immediately reminded her of Volo. Maybe she considers Volo's descent into insanity her doing. Who knows. But she takes in this child who looks Just Like Him, hellbent on not repeating her past mistakes and making sure this child gets the best life possible.
Update: OH FUCK. Cynthia's grandmother is the one who tells the player the myth of the lake guardians in DPPT too. just like Cogita in pla.
Subway in the Sky au more lore UTC: (edited because Tumblr is messing up the stuff)
Megabird and Arceus is somewhat similar of an entity. They're both deities, being capable of light and creating life, basically friends or even mutuals at this point.
Megabird have asks Arceus for help in terms of 'saving' her world. But alas, Arceus being Arceus as he is ignorant, he obviously refuses to help her.
Hence why Megabird decides to throw hands to Arceus and his humans. She saw an opportunity and snatch, poompf, now the Submas twin (specifically Ingo), is now thrown into the crossfire between Megabird and Arceus. Just a case of wrong place wrong time.
In all honesty, Arceus probably wouldn't care about it much, but then again having Emmet and Akari/Rei glaring daggers at him and threatening him to take responsibility sure get on his nerve.
Now him and Akari/Rei is on standby ready to snatch the twins back whenever they're done as they watch the Submas twin try to recover Ingo's memories while trying to 'Save the children of the Light' as Megabird has requested.
Megabird is somewhat a selfish creature herself anyway. Why wouldn't she go this far to fix her own mistakes?
