Invaders of the Mountains -- Seeking Gold (Open Post)
Sprite fussed, just along the edges of her forests where the trees melted into plains and rocks, then into softly defused roadways. They were familiar- Some of their veins had etched into her woodland, but disuse had reclaimed them seasons past. However, the sight of smokestacks along the far horizon had her watching with curiosity- The nearest river was far from here, but that was not their goal-- They seemed to be encroaching on...
The mountains?
Her shoulders fell and she drew in on her lip- there were no safe passages up to the rocky heights, no careful caverns, no places of shelter or rest up there that had not been bear-claimed or bat swollen. What could they want up there? The only thing the mountain held were rocks, lichen, scarce traces of gold, animals, plant life, and some odd creatures above the treelines..
She wrung her small fingers and frowned- She could go see, perhaps, what all the curiosity was about, but... A green young woman, unclothed, long haired and smelling of moss was not always a welcome sight into the camps. So, she lingered with care, and held her breath. Perhaps they would leave.
