Group Shots
First:
I used a speedlight to light up my 3 models nicely. I asked them to look at a certain direction at first but there were many harsh shadows appearing because of the sun. I did not want to use a reflector to bounce light onto the models as that would add way more light than I needed. I then asked them to look at the camera which decreased a lot of harsh shadows and I was happy enough with this shot.
Second:
Again, I used a speedlight to light up the models. However, I was experiencing two issues. Firstly, I had to increase the aperture as I was not getting the camera to focus on all three models at the same time. Secondly, I had to use a reflector to bounce light onto the model on the right as half of her face appeared to be in shadow. This shot took me a while to obtain but in the end I was satisfied with the final result.
Third:
For this shot, I did not use a speedlight as I felt the reflector was enough to light up the models. The reflector was placed below the camera which bounced light directly onto the models face equally as they were all sitting down and quite close to each other. I really like the composition of this image and I also managed to get a nice catch light in all of their eyes which was quite helpful as I was not using any flash to do this.
