Climate Change Exhibition Visit
The image I chose to write about was most probably taken on a digital camera , due to the difficult shooting locations. The image features a man who has created a way to heat water using solar power, and this device is centred along with its creator, in the middle of a square frame. I feel that this adds emphasis to the subject without using the traditional rule of thirds. Continuing on from this, the solar dish has been cropped off the edge of the frame, which I feel adds a sense of the scale of his creation, as the whole thing can't fit in one image. In addition to this, the photographer has used a slightly higher angle then the man, this puts further emphasis on the size and scale of what he's doing. The image was most likely taken in mid day due to the harsh sunlight and shadows present within the image, however I feel that this helps convey what is going on , as harsh light would be needed for the mans device to work. To further this point, the image has been presented in colour, which I feel helps place the scene, and makes the viewer think about the country and location in which the image was taken.
