Placodus
A species of marine reptile (order Placodontia) from middle Triassic Europe and China. It could reach a length of up to 2 m. and had a stocky body with a long tail. It was a shellfish eater that used its specialised forward pointing incisors to grip and pluck things like bivalves and crustaceans off the sea floor.
