Luis joins Ashley and Leon after they escape the cabin. While they are together the three learn a little more about each other.

Luis is especially drawn to the blond agent. Partly because the plaga sees how strong, efficient and loyal Leon is. Which would make him an excellent partner for them. (it and Luis)

As the journey continious Luis and his plaga become more and more attached to the american and become more and more desperate to remove Sadlers plaga. Because Sadler cant have him, Sadler doesnt understand how important Leon is. How loyal and how brave he is. Sadler wouldnt appreciate Leons wit and dry humor. Sadler wouldnt care.

But they do. They want Leon as he is. They dont want a mindless ganado. They want a partner. And they would be so good to him. Spoil him and love him. They see behind the stoic facade the blodn puts up. They see those lonely, tired blue eyes. They know that lonelyness and they can make it better. Because they want him. They want him they want him they wanthimtheywanttheywanttheywant

They get seperated in Ramons castle.

No matter. Leon is stong and capable.

They will find their pritty mate again soon.

I've decided that, and without knowing yet exactly *how*, Leon does have the ability to turn people into...well, like him. It is technically a plaga infection, but instead of becoming a straight up Ganado or an upgraded variant like Saddler or Krauser, the infected person becomes a "vampire" like Leon due to his...

Well, this is where it gets a tad difficult. Because unlike with a viral mutation, plagas don't really have a particular "strain" to go off of (not to my knowledge anyway, but more research is needed). What does exist instead are different "variants" of plaga, and I suppose I could base his unique method of infection off that but frankly at the time of RE 4 there wasn't much in the way of Plaga Variations like we see later in Damnation or RE 5. Though it is to be noted as well that the "A Virus" from Vendetta was constructed using Plaga DNA so that may also be something I could work with (though less likely).

On that note, have officially decided to have Luis Serra Lives in this AU because frankly, I love him and he deserved a better ending. Also because I've further decided that Leon overtime will slowly start gathering a colony of other vampires he's turned (forced his hand/to save their life, you'll see why in the next few sentences) because yes FOUND Family. So far confirmed Vampires include Ashley, Buddy (Sasha), JD, and Helena.

Not Luis*; Luis is a werewolf. Look, I live the idea of Werewolf!Luis but how that would work with the Plaga is a big "???" because Plagas aren't wolves or canine-related at all. But then I thought, "the Colmillos". I don't know if he gets infected via a bad bite or injected via the scorpion tendril with a wolf-DNA-riddled plaga variant that naturally developed by a random chance mutation in that particular Colmillos, but yeah. Luis here is a Colmillos Werewolf and is very Lorge in his "wolf" form.

*He's still part of Leon's little pack, just not a vampire lol. Leon uses him as a battle mount on occasion (and vice versa, Leon does have a monster form but it's rarer to appear and I don't know what to do with it yet lol). Leon appeases Luis for this by buying him the best smokes he can find. Sasha HATES him lmao.

Infected Luis Prompt

Before Ashley got kidnapped, Luis developed a special type of plaga and injected himself with it. He either hadn´t finished the machine yet to remove Sadlers plaga in time or he did it out of curiosity.

Instead of taking the infected person over Luis´s plaga is designed to develop a symbiotic relationship with its host. It mutates the body to a certain degree, these changes are easy to hide. And while someone infected is stronger and faster than a normal human, they are slightly weaker than people infected by the original plaga.

Luise is also not connected to the hivemind of Sadler but if he where to infect other people with his plaga they would create their own hive network. And Luis wants to infect other people after he leaves this hellhole. Not to create another cult but to have a family because he and his plaga are lonely, they are lonely.

And then everything goes to shit and the president’s daughter gets kidnapped and then Luis gets caught. And then… well then, he meets Leon and everything in Luis sings.
