LOL nice. I see I am even later to the potato leek soup party than I thought.

I have a running joke about the time in my house when the day of Thanksgiving, we weren't allowed to eat anything in the house and the only thing I could find for lunch was bananas and string cheese. I still think of that as a DARK DAY.

ahaha ikr? I scoured the interwebs for a better picture of that moment but that was the best one I could find and it's so hilariously colorful.

I'm also still DYING for fanart of the dead elf heads at Grimmauld Place with Santa hats, and for the entrance of St. Mungo's. For the life of me I can't figure out why the internet is so dedicated to drawing Snarry porn but the description of a dummy in a hideous nylon dress doesn't light a fire under their fanart hearts. COME ON.

ughhh I hate using the laundromat ANYWAY (WHY CAN'T I HAVE A MILLION DOLLARS AND A WASHER IN THE HOUSE) and then like every time fucking--gets tangled in something bigger and you go to pull it out of the machine and BOOM underwear on the floor and the guy loading the machine next to you gets to see what kind of bra you wear and I WISH THE FLOOR WOULD SWALLOW ME UP SOMETIMES

awww that is so beautiful. I love it when he ties imagery of the ocean with imagery of death and loss. Same reason "Crossing the Bar" kills me every time. This really makes me wish we'd read more of his work in school, he's one of the few poets I had to discover mostly on my own.

awww! I just now fell in love with it, but thanks to the memories I associate with rocky shorelines, it definitely made me cry. So beautiful.

Also you're in luck, there's two more posts for that poem in my queue. They're staggered between other Tennyson posts, because I really did binge on his poetry for two hours, but yeah. So pretty. :)
