Tashlin slips in clear references to sex. When Daffy kisses Hata [Mari], his body stiffens, then becomes limp and flows down the stairs. It is interesting that the danger in "Plane Daffy" is female not conventional military armaments. Hata has swastikas on her earrings, garter belt and shoes a touch that adds an Ilsa She-Wolf of the SS feel to this cartoon, which is clearly ahead of it's time.

Plane Daffy premiered Sep 16, 1944, and was directed by Frank Tashlin. A 2003 airing on Cartoon Network deleted a scene at the end with Hitler's henchmen shooting themselves in the head.
