This is the final product of the planes project. I completed this in varying thicknesses of Balsa wood. I chose Balsa because it’s a soft wood that’s easy to cut and sand.
A problem I frequently ran into during the sketching phase was a weak sense of hierarchy, I feel I solved this problem in the final solution. The base plane is 6/32 inches in thickness The landscape-oriented wall is 1/2 inch thick. The portrait-oriented wall is approximately and 1 inch in thickness, and the depth plane is 3/32 inch thick.
