Just wanted to give a huge shout out to my AP 3D student Natalie Nguyen! She had a fantastic year. She earned the Dean's Award from the University of Texas @ Dallas, TVAA (Texas Visual Arts Association 2020 High School Competition) Her sculptures are cultural and political perspectives of Vietnam. Please see the video of her works installed at the UTD Sp/n Gallery just before the Covid-19 lockdown. Natalie never had the opportunity to see her work in this gallery. Huge shout out to my student Natalie who just completed, "The Two Vietnam's". This is just one of several large scale sculptures that she has completed this semester. The huge imposing sharp and pointed Communist Vietnam oppressively towers over Southern Vietnam. She followed this up by attending The Pride of Plano Art Show as a featured artist this evening. Two more of her large scale works "Peanut and the White Ghost" stood to be revered by hundreds of admirers.
