Just wanted to give a huge shout out to my AP 3D student Natalie Nguyen! She had a fantastic year. She earned the Dean's Award from the University of Texas @ Dallas, TVAA (Texas Visual Arts Association 2020 High School Competition) Her sculptures are cultural and political perspectives of Vietnam. Please see the video of her works installed at the UTD Sp/n Gallery just before the Covid-19 lockdown. Natalie never had the opportunity to see her work in this gallery. As many of you know, this week brought the very sad news that Jake Landers has left us.  His passing comes on the heels of the 8th Annual Jake Landers Bluegrass Concert –– an event he founded and through which we were blessed to know and work with him over many years.  All of us at the TVAA send our warmest thoughts and fond condolences to Jake’s family.  He will be sorely missed.
