Ok not to be a huge faggot but Plant Man and Quicksilver would do numbers in the enemies to lovers community. They don't really qualify, but they're so drastically different and everything about them screams *these guys would hate each other*. And yet.

What if you were skittish, aggressive, violent and a genuine hazard to the environment, and I was a calm, quiet, soft spoken robot whose heart shatters when nature is endangered.

And I still loved you. And I'd never give up on you.

Quicksilver's exposed core is an erogenous zone, btw. He finds that out when he asks Plant to touch it, as a sign of complete trust.

(I was looking thru the mega man 6 manga for pics of him and oh my god is he a pest in it. I don't recognize this guy, what the fuck did wily do to him.)

Plant Man is like. Such a garish looking fuck and yet I adore him dearly. I don't know - his relationship with Quicksilver is so special to me.

I rambled ab this in the past but fuuuuck what if I was made to destroy the environment and you were made to care for it like an extension of yourself. What if you were one of the first people to see me as more than a lost cause. What if you loved me but I refused to believe it because I don't deserve it. ACK!

He's so fun. Mega Man robot masters don't have that much when it comes to backstory and personalities (outside of supporting material, like comics) so you can kinda do whatever you want to them. To me Plant Man is devoted, sweet and caring, but a bit overzealous.

For a while, Quicksilver sees his kindness as Plant Man having a savior complex - like Quicksilver is his new charity case. It takes a while for them to reach equal footing, but they get there. Eventually.

I don't know. I just think he's so cute and silly. There's so much potential to him, so much I can *do*. I especially like that he's Also from Brasil, like I am - Quicksilver's custodian operates from Brasil, as well, so Plant is one of the first robots he meets outside of Maia's own creations. Gateway boyfriend or something.

Also I'm always thinking about this.

IMO he would not be particularly fond of rafflesia since 1 they stink and 2 they're parasitic, meaning he'd have to sacrifice the health of a host plant to keep them around. Still, though, he finds their life cycle fascinating.

A tiny headcanon of mine is that Plant did not originally have those spikes. They were tacked on for the MM6 tournament, lmao - he's a mascot for a botanic garden, why would he need to appear threatening at all...

Oh also I think his dislike of bugs is so dumb. Plant Man? Hating pollinators, like bees? C'mon now. He finds them annoying as fuck but he would endure them. He loves them.

I may or may not be giving plant and quicksilver a child of their own. I'll get to that someday, promise <3

🫂 2: What is something your f/o does that makes you feel loved and supported?

Quicksilver is the most skittish piece of shit in the world, like a feral cat whos always hissing. So someone willingly approaching him – let alone someone like Plant, who's his complete opposite in every way – means So Absurdly Much. He has no idea why this weird plant freak is so adamant to befriend him but dear god does it fuck with his brain a little.

🧠 9. What is something you love listening to your f/o talk extensively about, and what do they love hearing you elaborate on?

Quicksilver is not one to show it but with his extremely limited worldview, he loves hearing about anything going on outside his glass prison. Even if it's just Plant going on about how this specific Monstera keeps giving him trouble, he'll hear it like he's never seen a plant before (he hasn't). Unfortunately Quicksilver doesn't have much to talk about in return – but it's ok, he's more of a listener anyway.
