some people don't realize the actually danger of a person having a mental disorder (anxiety, depression, etc. ) and they don't know what to do in that type of situation. there are some who hide that they're depressed, and act happy. He could be referring to that, although I'm not sure if you do that.
that’s true, but at the same time i don’t think the general public is properly educated on mental disorders so it becomes a ~taboo subject~ (especially in asian cultures. random but it’s okay it’s love is a wonderful kdrama about this topic, actually.) while, yes there are those who hide that they’re depressed and act like everything’s “okay” (aka me, lol) but on the other hand, i don’t think how someone acts in public or how they act/react to others is a proper indication of what they actually think inside their heads, y’know? (read: idols, celebrities, public icons, etc etc etc)
