"Snow that doesn’t melt! Is it a government conspiracy?! (Hint: no.)
"I’ve seen some bizarre conspiracy theories in my time, but this may be the plain old weirdest: The snow that paralyzed Atlanta, Georgia in January of 2014 was not *really* snow: It was some sort of chemical that didn’t melt, and scorched when held to a flame! Is it some weird engineered mind-altering material? Maybe nanobots, like one guy claims?
"Yeah, not so much. Oddly enough, this idea struck me as being really, really, REALLY silly, so I decided to test it myself with the help of some freshly fallen snow in Boulder. I repeat the experiments done in other videos - making a snowball and holding a lighter up to it - and show that… well, see for yourself. But can you guess *why* the snow doesn’t appear to melt, and why it gets scorched?"
(by TheBadAstronomer)
"For the better part of two days, the city of Atlanta has been in the grips of chaos and catastrophe.... But in the wake of the mayhem, an interesting side story has developed.
"There are many people beginning to speculate that the snow is fake.
"No, not that the snow didn’t happen–but that the white, frosty stuff on the ground is, in fact, not snow..."
The fact that people think the government is intentionally fucking with the snow is hysterical. Honestly guys I know it’s scary that the snows turning black and not dripping, but lemme tell ya it all makes sense. Okay so we all know what smoke looks like yeah? It’s black. If you put a lighter or match under a snowball, the soot from the smoke will turn it black. Also I did it over my stove (cause that does not make smoke) and it didn’t change color at all. Oh but there’s no water right?? Well shit there’s three phases a water molecule can be in solid, liquid, and gas. And fire is pretty hot yeah? Well it goes straight from solid into liquid. It's called sublimation.(Also when I tried this experiment, it dripped?) and in the article I read it talked about when it’s this cold the snow molecules have less water and take up more volume, which made it easier for the snow/water molecule to evaporate.
So yeah I know the governments spraying chemicals and messing with our food, but honestly guys why the fuck would they make plastic snow? Well If any of you want to read the article here it is

Fake Snow
The fake snow thing is not real it is a gimmick and please don't buy into it. Ice doesn't always melt into water it can skip the liquid stage in a process called sublimation which usually occurs in cold dry climates when introduced to a very hot area such as a flame. If you grab a clump of snow and just hold it in your hand for a minute or 2 it will melt into water or just leave it in a bowl for an hour in your house to see for yourself. Another good example of this is dry ice or frozen carbon dioxide. which has a very small range in temperature that it is a liquid so it usually goes straight to its gas stage when warmed up leaving no liquid. The stuff thats turning it black is the soot and trapped gas from the lighter in the small pockets of the snow that are formed when water freezes, if you look at an ice cube its not a perfect solid and you can see lots of air bubbles. The smell that they are all claiming is not burning plastic its just butane fumes from the lighter which smells a bit like burnt plastic. Open a bottle of butane lighter fluid and take a good whiff of it just to check for yourself. Please stop reposting these videos and saying its a government conspiracy of chem trails. Do a little bit of research or feel free to go try it yourself.
