There are too many ideas and things and people. Too many directions to go. I was starting to believe the reason it matters to care passionately about something, is that it whittles the world down to a more manageable size.

hey guys! as always, a big welcome to our new followers and a massive shout out to our old, thank you for sticking by us while we get this site finished (done, finito), it’s almost complete and we hope you’re as excited as we are!

while we finish up a few things, we thought we’d update you on how our applications are going to work on plastic sun so you can have a think on what you might want to create (if you haven’t already started!). we’re doing things a little bit differently:

we’ve noticed with the usual app process, there’s a degree of anxiety that comes with generating initial app content. apps are introductory pieces meant to display an all-encompassing knowledge of a character - however, we don’t see this as realistic! characters grow with sites and plots and we want our applications to reflect that.

in this way our application process focuses on works in progress rather than finished pieces - you can write as much or as little as you want and you have free reign over your content. all we ask is that we get a grasp of your character- whether they’re stuck in the moment, their thoughts for the future, how things have affected them, where they see themselves headed or maybe their past endeavors.  we want your app to be a sort of snapshot you don’t have to set in stone.

when activity checks roll around, you’ll have the option of adding to your app, creating extra development in the development board, or starting/replying to threads! we want to create a stress-free zone where you’re able to overlap the evolution of your character across all forum platforms.

you have until the 15th to mull this over because we’ll be opening officially on the 15th of february at 7:30 pm est! we hope everyone can make it, but if this isn’t a good day for any of you guys, send in an ask and we can look into changing it! also if the application process seems a bit confusing or you have any questions at all regarding the site, please send them in! we’ve loved our time running this blog and we can’t wait to run a site you guys wouldn’t mind coming back to when you get a minute in the day <3
