Today’s Plate of Nations featured spot is Olympic Express, a Halal Vietnamese place.  Even though I went late last week and they were closed, I would still recommend being on time and getting the dinner special.

Today’s stop on the Plate of Nations is Eritrea.  Go to Momona and let Letina Tewolde feed you this fantastic food.  I say this despite the fact that the boys in the restaurant while I was shooting are Chelsea fans, not my favorite soccer team.

Today’s stop on the Plate of Nations is Philadelphia, located in this case at the corner of Rainier and MLK.  While I was shooting, right when they opened and before the counter help arrived, Guy Thomas served about a dozen customers by himself and remembered each order perfectly.  It was an amazing feat of short term memory and great customer service to go with delicious cheesesteak.

Today’s Plate of Nations featured restaurant is Rainier BBQ, near Graham St on MLK.  This place was famously visited by Anthony Bourdain, and the same chef from TV will make you this Vietnamese feast.  I think you should get a bunch of people to go here, because they will feed you well.

Today’s Plate of Nations featured restaurant is Huong Duong, a Vietnamese restaurant near Othello Station.  It is run by Duy Tran, pictured here with the chef.  I love the grilled meat noodle bowl, but the mango salad is awesome.

Today’s Plate of Nations featured restaurant is Othello Wok and Teriyaki, by  Othello Station.  It is run by James Choi and his camera shy wife.  I love teriyaki, and this come with the gyoza bonus!

Today’s Plate of Nations featured restaurant is Jezeera, a Somali place run by Ahmed Mohamed.  I love it that these specials include spaghetti, along with the rice.
