— It felt like he couldn't breathe. His head felt like it was spinning. Everything felt so incredibly nauseating.
Chance leans on the wall, breathing ragged and heavy. His vision blurred, his sunglasses tilted and his hat askew. What was going on.. why does he feel so awful.. why is that aching feeling in his chest and limbs again.
They drop to their knees, hand on the wall. Where were they? What was happening. Why did it all hurt. One hand clutches their chest, the fabric scrunching up underneath their palm.
Their body trembled with every shaky breath they took. Memories flashed, Itrapped.

— The loud chatter of patrons, the slot machines, the coins, the chips and roulette outside. It's all so overwhelmingly loud but that's fine. It was nice, it was something familiar.
Though, that's not where they were this time. They were in the quiet of a basement, people sitting around a circular wood table. The tables wood splintered and bent. It had bullet holes and knife markings, carvings even. One of which is carved into the shape of a heart, two initials were carved into the middle. "I + C", it was a childish and crude little thing but it was there.
A gun lay in the middle of the table, the metal glinting in the dim lighting. A small crowd gathered around the table, watching the game play out. Blood slides down the walls, what kind of sick game was this.
In the crowd, unlike most of the people here, there was a man in blue and green. He looked well dressed, more than most. So much so he stood out. He wears an ice blue crown, his face censored with a black box. The man flips his long blonde hair over his shoulder, his arms crossed over his chest.
Bang.
There goes another one. More blood splatters on the wall. There were two people left by now. Everyone else had pulled the trigger and failed.
Someone steps in to reload one bullet into the gun, then they step back into the crowd.
One of the only people remaining, the only one of note wore sunglasses, a fedora, and a nice suit. He pushed his sunglasses up on his face, a nervous but cocky smile on his face. He had to keep his poker face up.
The man in the crowd, the one in blue mouthed some words to the suited man at the table. He smiled a bit more confidently.
The suited one grabbed the gun, pointing it at the side of his head and pulling the trigger. He closed his eyes tight and waited for impact.
None.
They raised their head and looked up at the man in the crowd, they must be friends. The one with sunglasses puts the gun in the middle of the table again, looking at the man across from them.
The man seemed infuriated, he seemed angry that the gambling man before him hadn't died yet. They were wagering money so why hadn't they died?!
Well this man gets confident, he grabs the gun and aims it at his head, pulling the trigger quickly.
Nothing.
He sets the gun down once more. The crowd is quiet, things are getting tense. The suited person grabs the gun once more, pointing it at their head and pulling the trigger, once again expecting impact.
None.
They set it down in the middle of the table again. The man across from them visibly gets angry. He grits his teeth, balls his fist.
"Why haven't you died yet." He asked in sheer annoyance and anger. His hand reaching for the gun.
" 'm just lucky!" You could tell they didn't like this game if you knew them well enough. To any other person they just seemed over confident and cocky about it all!
"One of these days your luck will run out." The man says, pulling the trigger. Nothing happens.
"Yeah? Ya really think so?" He kept his smile, grabbing the gun, repeating the same song and dance. Putting it to their head, pulling the trigger. Nothing. "Looks like 'm winnin'" he sets the gun back in the middle of the table.
"I hope you rot in the deepest pits of hell." The man says, grabbing the gun and pointing it at his temple, pulling the trigger.
Bang.
The man from earlier steps up, dropping the suited persons sum of money. For a moment, everything felt still. A laugh escaped him, the adrenaline was beginning to subside, but it wasn't completely out of his system yet.
"I- I did it! Trapped I did it!" He says excitedly, turning towards the man in blue. He smiled so big, as if he couldn't believe he just won a game like that even though he had many times before.
"You did. Good job." The man in blue, Itrapped, stepped closer. His heels click against the concrete. The crowd clears out, leaving the two and the man who organized the game.
"Thank you, Thank you. Whaddya say? Wanna get a drink, celebrate my winnin's?" They snapped their fingers, pointing their index finger out with their thumbs up. Fingerguns, really? "I'll pay for ya," They smirk, Itrapped seemed annoyed but dismissively waved his hand which meant yes!
"I'll wait for you upstairs, Chance. Hurry up will you." Itrapped says, beginning to walk up the stairs out of the basement. He was so majestic.
Chance grabs his suitcase of money, running after the man. He stops when he's behind him.
"Soo what'dya wanna drink? I can get'cha anythin'!" They smile, following Itrapped to the bar. Usually the other didn't get alcoholic drinks and if they did it had a low amount. Something about tarnishing his reputation or something like that.
"I don't drink much Chance, you know that." He sits down, crossing his legs. One over the other. He turns his head towards the man who sits in the seat beside him.
"Yeah yeah I know! Yer just a lightweight!" He laughs, joking a little bit. Itrapped didn't seem amused. "You just want your usual then?" He asked, tilting his head a little. His silver hair falls in front of his shades.
"Yes." Itrapped responds as monotone as ever, Chance rolls their eyes behind their shades but orders for the both of them.
"What'dya wanna do after this? Wanna go to my place? Watch a movie or sumthin'?" Chance takes his shades off, hooking them on his suit jacket.
"I don't really care what we do." Itrapped responds, it was always so hard to tell what the other was looking at or focused on. I mean he censors his face all the time it's just overall difficult to tell anything about the man. Not to mention he didn't talk much.
"Right okay, movie at my place." Chance smiles, the bartender serves the two drinks to the two. With how much they hang out, people begin suspecting they're a couple. Itrapped always shuts down those accusations.
Chance stares at their drink, looking up at Itrapped who held the glass graciously. He moved his wrist in a slow circling motion, he watched the drink swirl in the glass before he sipped from it carefully.
Chance was never as gracious about drinking as Itrapped was, he was never as cautious. He was quick to get wasted and quick to make stupid decisions. that being said, the gambling man downed his first cup quickly, ordering another.
Itrapped made a noise that sounded like he was annoyed. He sipped from the glass again, small sips. He didn't need to rush through this.
"Chance, before you get drunk I do have something very important to talk to you about." The heir stands from his seat, setting the cup in his hand down. Chance lifts his head, looking at the other. That stupid dopey smile remains present on his face.
"What d'ya gotta talk t' me about?" Chance gets up from his seat, Itrapped doesn't answer, instead just gestures for Chance to follow. Something in Chance's gut told him not to go, told him to stay. That if he followed something horrible would happen. But he didn't listen to those feelings, Itrapped was his best friend!!! He wouldn't hurt them, right?
"Are you coming or not?" Itrapped stopped, turning towards Chance. Chance could feel the man's eyes narrowing at him. "I've got a nice surprise for you Chance." That seemed to snap the gambler out of his thoughts, he liked surprises!
"I'm comin' I'm comin'!" Chance sprints to catch up with the other. He stops when he's right behind him, a smile present but he wasn't sure how genuine it was. Maybe all this anxiety was coming from his drink.
The two exit the casino, Itrapped leads Chance to the side of the building. He looks around before letting out a soft sigh.
"Chance," The heir quietly says the man's name. His tone sounded different, it was so strange. "I love you Chance." It sounded so real. Chance felt his heart flutter. His face turned red, his heart began to pound in his chest.
"I- Love you too?" He sounded so confused, it took him by surprise. He did have feelings for Itrapped, he's had feelings for the man for a long time.
Itrapped cupped the gamblers face, pulling it closer and closer until their lips met. Itrapped felt cold while Chance felt warm. He held the kiss for what seemed like forever before eventually pulling away. Chance's face felt so warm, his heart beat so hard in his chest. He put his hands on Itrapped's hips, a smile creeping up into his expression.
"I knew you did," Chance felt that sinking feeling, that anxiety was coming back to him. It didn't stay for long though, it was replaced with pain. He felt his hands tremble, his eyes falling on what seemed to be the source of the pain. A black blade pierced through his chest, and darkness crawled outwards from the wound.
It ached, it ached so much. It felt like every single one of their limbs were being torn apart. It hurts so much.. It felt so warm, the warmth got more intense and it was beginning to hurt.
Slowly the blade is removed from their chest. Itrapped let's go of the poor gambler, letting them fall to the ground, sputtering and coughing. Chance could barely process what was happening. They looked up towards the man who had now turned away and began walking away.
"Trapped please.. I- I'm sorry- please..." They cough blood, their hand trembles as they reach for the other's cape. Their free hand clutches their wound, the dark substance spreading throughout their chest. "Don't.. Don't go.." they cough again, they start to realize the tears that they hadn't even known were falling were in fact falling. The wet spot on the concrete below their head only proves this further. They rest their forehead against the cool cement, their hat askew on their head as they do so.
Itrapped pulls his cape from the man's hands, turning back and kneeling. He pulls Chance into his lap, arms wrapped around the man, his head resting on his chest.
"Just listen to my heartbeat." The heir sighs, sounding more annoyed than he did anything else, like he didn't want to have to deal with this.
"Trapped I'm.. really warm.. it.. it hurts-" They cough, it feels like any second now he'll be torn apart.
"Save your breath, quit speaking. It'll be okay." He sounded more consoling, his hand strokes the gambling man's hair. He was keeping him calm. It's the least he could do.
"Am I.. going to die?" Chance asks, subconsciously he knew the answer but confirmation would be nice.
"Shhh, just close your eyes and relax." He pulled Chance closer, he made sure to be careful as he did. He placed a soft kiss on the man's forehead.
"Okay.." They closed their eyes, trying to relax in the arms of their best friend. "I love you, so much-" It felt so agonizing, holding on like this. The dark substance in their chest crawled out towards their limbs. It ached so much..
"I love you too Chance." The heir lied, brushing hair from the man's face.
It wasn't long before Chance died. The poor man exploded right in Itrapped's arms. All that was left of him was his stupid fedora and his stupid pinstripe suit now torn to bits and his ashes.

— "Chance? Chance?! Oh my Telamon?!" A familiar voice called, Chance couldn't make out exactly who it was but he knew them for sure.
He blinked a few times to make the blurriness go away, except now he was in bed. He was tucked into a bed and someone was holding his hand.
"Ell?" Chance blinked, turning his head towards the other. He smiled softly.
"You okay?" The pizza man asked, his thumb rubbing over the gamblers hand gently.
" 'm fine, promise!" He responds, sighing a bit. He gestures a bit for the delivery guy to join him.
"Alright, what were you doing on the floor?" They get up, taking their shoes off and joining the gambling man under the blanket.
"Oops? Uh,, dunno what happened t' be honest?" He pulled Elliot closer, snuggling up close. " 'm gonna go back t' bed though.. if that's okay.. we'll talk about it later.."
"Right.. okay. Goodnight." He curled up with Chance, tossing his visor off somewhere. They close their eyes after Chance does, falling asleep a bit after.
