Playboyy episode 1
Here's what we learn about Nant in episodes 1 & 2 of Playyboyy
Are you somebody who already dropped Playboyy or would love to drop it but you also need to know what happened to Nant? Don't worry, I've got you! I'll summarize the Nant plot for you so you can spend your precious free time watching another show that you actually enjoy (may I suggest Last Twilight?) [I'm still figuring out how best to present this information and what to include, so bear with me.] Episode 1
Zouey has been texting Nant ever since he went missing but his messages were left unread up until the day of his birthday.
The police are investigating Nant's disappearance or at least have investigated it in the past but it seems that they don't have any leads.
Nant's mother was a member of parliament and recently died. (We learn that from a newspaper headline.) Nant also has a brother (obviously) and a father.
Zouey blames his friends for Nant's disappearance because his friends pressured Nant into having sex.
Two more things Zouey says: "Nant had many things going on" and "You are always so nosy, Captain. You drove Nant away because of this. Haven't you learned your lesson?"
Nont makes his entry and it's such a cool scene!
Nont records video logs about his investigation. In those videos, he talks to his dad, which implies that they are working together. Episode 2
We are introduced to Prom, manager of the Playboyy Lounge and thus the former boss of Teena, Soong and Jump. Teena says, presumably about Prom "The boss has gone too far. I think this job isn't horrible if we had signed up for it." Aob replies: "The boss never forces anyone to work here" Jump responds: "Really? You should know better than we do." Does this have anything to do with Nant? We don't know yet.
His friends describe Nant as introverted and spoiled / dependent like a child.
Captain believes that Nant had a boyfriend.
Captain pressured Nant into having sex "with someone from the website". After that, Nant's behaviour changed. He became more reclusive.
Nant would sometimes be gone for days without answering texts or calls and without telling his friends where he was, which is why his friends are not sure when exactly Nant disappeared.
Nant asked his friends for money but his friends didn't lend him any.
Nant's mother was sick before she died.
We see Nont in his room, talking to a shadow about Nant's disappearance. Does that mean somebody else is involved in the investigation? Or is the shadow just a visual element, not an actua shadow of a real person?
Nont finds Nant's phone hidden in the toilet tank (I hope that's the correct English word).
Nant's phone wallpaper is a picture of him and Nont
Nont goes through Nant's phone. It's hard for me to know what he learns because I can't read Thai but I think the main points are: 1) Nant was broke and 2) Nant received regular payments from Prom.
It turns out that Prom is Porsche's older brother. Porsche wants Prom to stop working at the Playboyy Lounge and instead help him with their father's businesses. In that conversation, Porsche says the following: "Hand in your resignation. Nant is back. Why are you happy? Don't meet up with him or we are all screwed!" From the editing it's not clear to me if Nont overheard that conversation or not.
Nont visits Prom at the Playboyy Lounge. Prom asks Nont where he has been and says he was worried about him.
Nont learns from Prom that Nant had debt and was in trouble because of it. We already know that Prom gave Nant money. Now Nont suspects that Prom paid him for sex.
Nont and Prom hook up. It's clear that they had some sort of relationship but we don't know exactly what type.
Nont manages to restore text messages between Nant and Captain. It turns out that Nant sold Captain clips of him (Nant) having sex. We see a message from Nant reading "If I go harder, are you willing to pay more?" Nant also thanks Captain for helping him discover his sexual preferences.
I think that's all. I hope I didn't miss anything major.
Guys, the *More horny Japanese with a thick Thai accent* is no more 😭 They added the subs for the Japanese parts.
EP1 - Teena and Zoey make out on the bed:
Zouey: Can you? I can't take it anymore. Let's focus on the outside. But... Don't take it off! Teena: Don't just suck. Lick the tip as well. Flick your tongue. Amazing! Go down slowly. Hold on. Go slower. Then... I'll start. Zouey: But... Can we not put it in? Please. If we don't prepare we won't be able to move.
EP2 - In the art class room:
Zouey: No. If he keeps going, I will cum. I will get mocked by them.
EP2 - Romantic dinner:
Teena: I've never experienced this before. Why is he so relaxed? He's about to get swindled. He keeps making me feel like I really want sex, but I don't just want sex. I want him to be my boyfriend.
Just a small thing between Teena and Zouey that I think is quite interesting: When Teena approached Zouey in the bathroom, Zouey backed away and actually bumped his head on the wall.
So what does Teena do? He places his hand right between Zouey's head and the wall to make sure no more head bumping will occur :3 Teena kept his hand there the whole time while they were standing against the wall.
Head ruffles and pats always get me tbh, because those actions have quite a huge significance in Thailand. The head is considered to be the most sacred part of the body and normally it's very rude to touch someone's head or hair unless you're close with them (like parents, close friends or lovers). So by the little action of shielding Zouey from the wall, Teena not only showed his caring side, but basically said that he already feels a close connection to Zouey.
However, it's not all innocent and sweet of course. I'm fairly sure Teena knew what kind of impact this gesture would have on Zouey and how it would make the little one's heart race. Our Teena is undoubtedly an expert when it comes to seducing cute boys 💖
In defense of the Playboyys:
I know, I know... We probably all thought those four Playboyys sitting around the table laughing and plotting how they can get the most out of their recent conquests was pretty shitty of them. They're a bunch of assholes, they steal and lie and use others for money. They've even got the upper hand over our little baddie boys when it comes to physical strength and size. It's obvious, they must be the villains! But... is it actually that obvious?
The thing is, if you look at it realistically, the Playboyys have a lot more to lose. The baddie bunch boys might get their hearts broken and they might have to say goodbye to a few more jewelry items. But the Playboyys are risking their jobs and livelihoods, they might even end up in jail because of their profession. They're the ones who're selling their bodies and I'm pretty sure they have to cater to some really fucked up shit only to make their clients happy. They don't have parents who pay for everything and get them out of trouble. They're the lower class kids, the ones who need a scholarship or they won't be able to get ahead in life, the ones who have to resort to some morally ambiguous methods just to get by, while always risking to get caught by the police or some mob gangster who abducts them or a really mentally unstable client who'll hurt them. And if the worst happens to the Playboyys, no one will come to their aid. The police won't give a damn and I doubt they'll have friends or relatives who'll come looking for them. They'll be utterly fucked. So while the Playboyy gang looks like these big guys who've got it all under control, they're the ones who'll get hurt the most when shit hits the fan.
So for me at least the Playboyys aren't the villains, they're just people who try to survive despite the shitty cards that life has dealt them.
I'm actually a bit suspicious of both Zouey and Nont because of two things:
Why does Zouey have access to Nant's social media account? He was logged into Nant's Facebook profile in the beginning of the episode. Did Nant share the password with him cause they're besties or did Zouey take Nant's laptop? If he did indeed take Nant's laptop, shouldn't he have submitted it to the police in case there is some valuable information on it? On the other hand, if Zouey only has access to Nant's Facebook, he should've told the police and maybe not log into that account while Nant is still missing. Can't imagine the police would be happy about the possibility that someone is messing around with the account of a missing person. Also another thing: If Zouey can read all of Nant's FB chats, I'm pretty sure he knows a thing or two about his friend that the other boys from the baddie bunch aren't aware of (remember, Zouey hid the FB profile from his friends, so it's unlikely they know he has access to it).
Why does Nont either have Nant's phone or access to his profile and chats? The police obviously doesn't know about it otherwise they wouldn't have been so surprised that Nant's messages got read. Why is Nont hiding the fact that he was the one who read them from the police? Also, if that is really Nant's phone, things aren't looking too good for his twin. They didn't live together and didn't go to the same university. Which means that either Nont went to his brothers apartment and took the phone after his brother had disappeared or he met up with him and took the phone, which would make Nont one of the last people who saw Nant (unless they're the same person that is).
Either way both of them seem to hide information from the police and the friend group, wich means they're not as innocent as they may appear.
